This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a solid running and driving old Jeep. Body is in good shape. There is some rust repair underneath and the usual dents and dings.(not a show car) Newer F-head engine runs like a champ and no leaks. The seals leak on the tranny and transfer case. This does not effect the drivability, I just found it easier to refill every couple months as to a repair!(I’ve found most Jeeps of this era like to “mark their territory”) Interior has newer seats w/ seatbelts.(could use some seat covers) Has been converted to 12v. I also have the frame and doors for the soft top but NO soft top skin. I have more pictures available and please call with ANY questions. I’ve owned this rig for about a year and am only parting with it because I recently acquired a 1944 MB! Willing to trade for a mid-life crisis! I’m looking for an old muscle car 60’s or 70’s. An ’82-90 Camaro could work too.(no v6’s) Maybe a pop up camper in REAL good shape(no junk) or anything cool and automotive related NO boats I’m not looking to re-assemble a project or pick up a basket case. Call with any offers I can trade up or down with cash or other items(air tools, bang sticks, guy stuff) Mine runs and drives, yours should too! I am willing to do some work and have no delusions of grandeur. Just want to make fair trade.”

“Call for all questions. If you text or email I probably won’t respond. I bought this Jeep thinking I would be able to use more of it than I can, so I’m putting some of the parts up for sale. I believe it to be a 1949 WILLYS Cj-3a . I’m keeping the body and wheels/tires . Mostly I will be selling chassis parts.

Disassembled but complete flathead L-134 engine (has slight ridge in cylinders) $150(SOLD)

ALL 4 16″ wheels with 16″ NDT Military tires- old tires and some of the lug holes have issues. $400 for the set”
It runs! Never seen a Willys Overland jeep listed as a “AMC”. Includes soft top.

Looks like a good jeep. I was surprised to see the original motor in it.
“49 CJ3A. 4 cyl ” Go Devil motor” , T90 trans, Dana 18 transfer case, Warn Overdrive, Dana 44 rear axle, Dana 25 front axle, Xtra Dana 41 & 25 axles complete, 11″ drum brakes, Saginaw steering, Rancho suspension, 31X10.50R15 Tires, 12 Volt system w Radio, Bikini top, Cab cover. Runs Great.”

Runs, but locker broke in rear. Has unusual paint job.
“I have a 52 willys cj2a mild built 304 3 speed manual tranny twin stick tcase 5.38 gears little lift still spring under so it drives nice down road all lights and blinkers work has tabs was driving it every day tell locker broke in rear like to trade for 98+ Cherokee 91+ ranger or 3200 obo will conceder other trades has clean title”

“I have a 1950 jeep cj3a 4 cyl. With three speed trans. 4×4 works perfectly runs a little rough but drives out ok has the axle under spring conversion kit on it with relatively new leaf springs. Has 31 1050 15 tires. Goes any where has no title but still have factory engine so shouldn’t be so hard to get one for it. 2500 or best offer or trade for a tractor and brush hog preferably a B or A John Deere”
