About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“This 1951 Willy’s Jeep has a 1976 Buick V6 in it with an electronic ignition (very handy). It has the original transmission with the overdrive. It runs quite well. I have a wife and two kids. It no longer functions in our family program. It needs someone to care for it and love it. It’s been stored in a garage for the last 20 years. It has some rust only on the surface. In my opinion all it needs is a sandblasting job and some Linex. also some gasket replacement underneath. Based on my pricing research this is a good price. I am not willing to sell it for any less. Purely on principal alone.
(05/27/2011) “51 willys jeep for sale. runs and drives, has jeep v6 engine which was a common swap from what I hear. frame is very solid but body was reskinned, looks good but needs a little work. $2500 obo”
(04/08/2011) This is a stock CJ-3A with some rust issues. It runs and drives.
“This jeep has been in my family since 1982. My grandfather did a ground up restore in 1987. He and I used it to for hunting in NY. I had it shiped down here from NY two years ago in hopes to restore it to 1987 condition again. But I don’t see that happening any time soon. I hate to sell it but i guess its just the sign of the times. I have done my research online and know alot about this jeep and know their value. The jeep needs some body work. It runs good. Its been sitting for over 15 years and all I did was put a electric fuel pump on it a battery, new plugs and wires..It took a few mins but it started right up and ran just like it did 20 years ago. I drove it around the farm a few time with the kids and parked it behind my shop where it has sat now for two years. The interior is in good shape but needs a drivers seat.I have the seat but it has a bad rip in it so i took it out the passengers seat is in good condition. I have removed the gas tank due to the 20+ year old gas that was in the tank (and it still ran with that gas in it). I was planing on installing a ploy tank but never did. The jeep also needs a brake job. I do have a new master cylinder for it that also needs to be installed. The motor is a flat head 4, with a foot button starter that still works good. All gages are still in place and all work but the speedo. The hearter even still blows. And the head lights still work ..I did put a new tire when i got the jeep due to the dry rot..the other tires are still somewhat ok… If your are SERIOUS about this jeep , email me and I will send you more detailed pics of it cause i can only put so many on here..”
This looks like good deal. It sounds like they both run?
“1948 green Jeep CJ2, engine, transmission, running gear, frame, all in good working order.
1949 yellow Jeep CJ3, engine, transmission, running gear, frame, all in good working order. Engine needs valve job.
Both Jeeps would be great for a frame-up restoration, or use one for parts
Or Best Offer.”
“’49 CJ 3A, body is too far gone, hood and grill are good, frame is excellent. Tub is off of frame, saved it for template for purchasing new body. First year for 3A. Selling because I need to get to a manageable number of Jeeps. Please no texts call and leave a message and I’ll get back to you.”
“For your consideration is a cleanly & near fully restored 1951 Willys
CJ2A(?)Jeep 4X4. Appropriately nicknamed The Killer Bee (& having 3
hand painted Custom logo), this project began as a repair this, and
make that, and with time gradually ended up becoming essentially a
Top-down Custom Restoration project. With Approximately $14,500
invested, my loss is YOUR GAIN!! For Sale – $7500, obo.
This Willys is being listed for a friend, so reply by phone, NOT by email.
The phone number is shown at the end of this description.
This jeep has been garage stored nearly all the time especially in the
winter. Before restoration, original body rust was very minimal.
This Willys is loaded with custom made parts, and the outer body
and BUCKET interior has NOT been commercially painted having instead
been Coated with Yellow Rhino Coating with Heavy Texture for
providing an extremely durable surface for the most demanding or
abusive conditions. Rhino coating is a virtually indestructible Truck
Line-a-Bed product. Polyurethane based, Low VOC, coated with a very
heavy texture, uncommon for automotive surfaces, but will hide dirt on
this bright color very well. You could throw a wrench, or a full size
long nailed dog could jump on the hood without leaving a mark. This
surface coating is often used on smaller ATVs. For further info click
the following link http://www.rhinolinings.com/index.php
The expertly custom designed and manufactured black removable
hardtop was made with aluminum sheet-metal & is also Rhino coated
yet the hardtop has an awesome Medium texture. This gorgeous top
includes 2 rectangular rear side windows, and an aesthetically sized
oval rear window & matching removable black coated doors for both
the driver and passenger sides with lockable door handles, and custom
lockable sliding windows. The doors can be installed or removed in
minutes, and are easily stored. The fully handmade custom hardtop
& doors were strategically creased to blend for fit, form & function.
Other custom parts include the cool exterior rear mounted spare tire
bracket fabricated from standard cold rolled steel (CRS)tubing simply
designed 2″ X 2″ CRS rear bumper and painted black. Interior features
include a custom Full cage roll bar, painted black, and nearly fully
covered with matching bright yellow foam padding. The dash board
having standard speedometer, odometer, & fuel gauges is cleanly
lacquered in matching yellow paint. Included are electric windshield
wipers for the original drop down front military windshield. The original
glove box and door remain to maintain originality. Newer electronics
included a Cobra CB radio with electronics integral to the handset.
The super-long CB antenna mounts externally to the passenger side,
and is usually looped to the windshield while cruising around town.
A Marine AM/FM/CD player stereo is installed between & just behind
the front seats. 2 quality speakers are mounted on or near the rear
fender wells. A portable electric heater/defroster is included
which plugs into the spare 12vDC cigarette lighter outlet jack, and is
temporarily mounted to the windshield when necessary during the cold
winter months.

The flames really make it go fast. This runs. This has a Worman half cab.
“This jeep has been stored indoors since the 70’s until just this April when I purchased. I have a free and clear title that will go with upon payment. Mechanically this jeep works and runs great. It has a PTO and was set up as a plow truck for a small business. The jeep runs great, shifts, stops, plow setup works as it should and plow goes up and down as well as side to side. I do have the plow blade but it is not pictured. The frame and chassis seems solid and complete but the body has fallen apart and has been patched up to be functional over the years. The origiginal gas tank no longer is hooked up and gas is gotten from an outboard motor tank sitting in the back of jeep. If you need a good complete chassis or parts this is your chance here. Will need to be trailed for safety reasons as it has not run on the road for many many years. The plow blade is comletely good and functional, but was not handy to photo.
Like I said earlier this engine runs great and everyhting seems complete and working chassis wise including the transfer case, etc. Mileage is unknown. Please do not bid if you can not pickup by Sunday Oct 23rd unless making arrangements first.””
