Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This Willys has been completely restored. It can be a daily driver, or a weekend ice cream getter. Improvements too numerous to mention here. EVERYTHING has been rebuilt or replaced. This Willys will not require anything more, but to just be driven. Price includes: roll bar, bikini top, full canopy top, new cover, tow bar for front end, and more. Not a speck of rust! Not a money pit!”

(07/15/2009) There’s been some interesting choices on the customization of this CJ-3A. Note the gas filler location for example on the back.
“1950 Willys CJ3A, ground up build, all steel, 327, 4sp, 205 transfer case, toyota 4:11 rearends, PS, PB, front disc, heater, 8 point cage, custom aluminum diamond plate, new Best Top, entire tub Rhino lined, 42 gallon fuel cell, reversable rear seat, all seat belts, 8000 lb winch, hitch and trailer plug, cooler carrier for hitch, Edelbrock, B&M, 35″ Kumo’s, Autometer, too much more to remember, only 3500 miles since complete build!! This Jeep runs down the road like a brand new one, just way cooler!! It is fantasic off the road too.”

This rig is great for offroading or a collectors item. this little thing will go anywhere you wanna go. it is really fun to drive. comes with a very nice black soft top with doors and everything, also has a tow bar on the front. i just changed the oil and put a new head gasket on it, also replaced the radiator with a new one. 2000obo”

(04/11/2011) The cut of the door really changes the look of this rig. The running gear sounds good.The front springs appear reversed and put over the axle.
“1950 Willys CJ3A. 289 Ford. Accell ignition, Edlebrock performer intake, Holly 600, fenderwell headers runs good. Ford 3sp. Dana 20 transfercase. Ford 9inch rearend, Dana 44 front end. 4.10 Gears. New 33×12.50 mud tires. She start, runs drives but does need some work. $3,500 but all offers considered. Would trade for the right 14 foot or larger aluminum boat. (06/29/2010) The seller suggest the engine needs rebuilding.
“This Jeep was stored in a barn for 30 years and has a great body plus a Pa. title. 11″ Bendix brakes and a Hurricane F-4 engine are from a CJ5. I’ve never tried to start the engine because I intended to adapt a GM V-6 during the restoration. Now, I need the garage space and don’t have time to work on the 3A, so it needs a new home.
