About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
There’s a number of good upgrades on this rather stock looking jeep.
“1949 CJ3A frame up restoration, rear 44 with Warn floating axle kit with hubs & posi, front posi with hubs, all new 11″ Bendix brake kits, rebuilt t-90 with extra low first gear ( from FC) rebuilt transfer-case and rebuilt Warn Over-drive, has new tank and f-head 134 engine, rebuilt radiator, body was taken off and painted inside and out. very nice winshield frame and glass, Rancho spring lift, no gease or gime to deal with, a 12 year project, drives out well. Call for more info. $4,800”
Few specifics in the description. I think it’s got my seats.
“I took it apart, cleaned it up, put it back together. New; carb, coil, dist, starter, brakes, clutch, flywheel, suspension, rebuilt tranny and transfer. The drivetrain is all original. The cage is bolt in. Full soft top and bikini top, both in excellent condition. Soft top will not fit with cage installed. It is titled, tagged and insured, but I do not recommend it for the street or for anyone that can’t work on it themselves. It’s noisy and rides rough. It leaks oil. ”
This looks good. A nice paint job and this should look pretty sharp.
“1952 Willys Jeep model CJ3A, Soft top with doors that are not shown in the pictures. Original type engine with 12 volt conversion. Tail gate welded over with flar pannel. Runs and is drivable on the street or off road. Parts and mechanical manuals supplied.”
“This 1951 Willy’s Jeep has a 4-cylinder flathead 3 speed on the floor front locking hubs and tow bar. It has a re-built engine 6-volt system. Well worth the price if you know these kind of the Jeeps. Serious inquiries ONLY. For more information call Julio@ (520)-705-2715”
This appears very nice, though there has been some body work done (no drain holes and it appears the tailgate might have been removed. The top looks pretty classic. Finally, this is a very early CJ-3A with a serial number of 11060.
“CB Radio, 8000# Fr Ramsey PTO Winch, Fr Lock-Out Huskey Hubs, Heater, Leather Seats, Back up light, 12volt convert,16″ military tires w/ spare, Whitney cover w/removable doors, Electric Wipers, Windshield defrosters, Seal beam headlights w/hi-low, Tow Bar .. 405-641-5342.”
The seller says it’s ready, but the top and doors aren’t in good shape and it still looks like it needs paint to me.
“JEEP IS READY TO GO. EVERYTHING IS IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION. JEEP HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO 12 VOLT ELECTRICS WITH KEY START.
SPIN ON OIL FILTER CONVERSION. ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP. SEATS HAVE BEEN PADDED AND RECOVERED. REWIRED ELECTRICAL SYSTEM 2 YEARS AGO. NEW TIRES LAST SEASON. JEEP RUNS GREAT STARTS EASY EVERYTIME. ORIGINAL ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. THE SOFT TOP IS IN BAD SHAPE AS WELL AS THE DOORS. ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL CHUCK 210-559-1361”
It’s hard to tell a lot from the small pictures, but this appears to be a project. Note how far forward the radiator is positioned. I hope that’s not where it attaches.
“51 willys jeep 350 4 bolt main 350 trans new motor new rims and tires”
I’d like to see some more pics of this jeep. It looks good in this pic and sounds like there have been some interesting mods.

The console looks a little unusual. I’d like a closer look to see what they have done. It appears to go underneath the seats.
