“i have a 40`s model Willys Jeep complete , with a seized engine. transmission is a 3 spd . it has an additional lever for high/low and an additional lever for 2wd/4wd. its still a 6 volt system . it does not have a battery in it.the engine is a flathead, i have heard other folks call it an L head or side valve engine. it ran when parked . im really sad that im gonna sell it but that’s just the way it is. you can e-mail me or call 314-800-6020. jeep is located in Overland.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
It runs.
“I am selling a 1950 Willys CJ3A. I have the title (in my name) and matching VIN plate. The Jeep was modified years ago with a good running Ford 4 cylinder (Pinto or Mustang) that almost doubles horsepower of the stock 4 cylinder flathead motor. The motor was upgraded with a Weiand aluminum intake and Holley 4 barel carb. The steering was upgraded to a Saginaw manual box with tilt column. The 9″ brakes were replaced with 11″ brakes from a 1972 or 1973 CJ5. The tires area matched set of 31 x 10.50 on wide steel wheels (look to be 8″). The hood, grill, fenders and winshield frame look pretty good (several ayers of flaking paint) and could easily be saved. The body will need to be stripped and will need new floor panels.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $6000
(05/09/2011) This looks nice.
“1952 Willys CJ3A – frame off restoration over the past couple years…completely new steel body with dura-lined interior…new windshield…new wiring harness…painted frame…new exhaust system…new tires…new gas tank…new gauges…new brakes…new emergency brake cable…and a bunch of other parts. Lots of receipts…no rust of any kind…hasn’t seen rain, mud, or snow since the restoration…still needs a few details like a rear view mirror or seat belts if you want to install them (didn’t come with them). Willys Go-Devil 134ci flat head four engine…3 speed tranny…twin stick transfer case…Warn hubs. Runs well, shifts well, and the 4wd works. Clean MA title in hand. I’ve got too many projects and not enough time or space”
