This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Flat Fender Jeep. The jeep has Front and Rear posi-traction, 427 gears, disk brakes frnt, 33X1250X15 tires, Spring over, a 302 Ford with only 2000 miles, C4 automatic trans, Warn overdrive, On board air compressor, Full cage and much much more. Great Offroad Jeep.”

“1949 Willys Jeep project. Partially disassembled. Grandfather left it to me, but I have far too many projects right now. Has flat head four and twin lever transfer case. Has some patch panels and will need some body work, but how many 60 year old jeeps don’t? My grandfather had it running off a boat gas tank when he first bought it before he got cancer, but said that the carb needed rebuilding. Would make a good project. $1000 obo.”

“All original . Continetal 4 cyl engine rebuilt but gets hot. Has usual rust. needs some TLC Would make a great project to restore or rock crawler. Has no top. would trade for 1969 camero to restore..”

I’m sure this is a fun rig.
“1952 willies drag/play jeep, 16.5 rear paddles, sand steer tires. 500 +/- horse 350 chevy, turbo 350 tranmission and 205 trasfer case. 9 inch ford rear end with heavy duty ladder traction bars. full role cage with new 5 point harness system. external rear radiator with high volume electric fan. I have a 2800 stall converter but not yet installed. price is half of invested cost. ready to play.”

This may have a Dana 30 front and Dana 44 rear.
“It runs and drives has a soft top the motor is a 350 Chevy it has a 400 turbo auto tranny the running gear has been up graded to a CJ5 the paint is in great shape, this is a nice project for the self restore”

UPDATE: **Sold** Was priced at $1400.
“I still have it if the ad is still posted. This is a 51 Willys CJ3 with an F-head motor. Motor, transmission, transfer case and axles were all rebuilt before I got it. New brakes, hardware, and master cylinder were also installed as well as a new carburetor. The engine has not been started. It has lots of new parts. I don’t have the time for it any more and I want my garage back.”

(04/17/2010) How about those tires? I have never before seen those tires.
“1951 4 wheel drive Willy’s Jeep. Has a 327 V-8 with a high compression Air Research turbo, 2 speed power glide transmission with Teflon bands (built for racing), Also has a 3000 rpm stall converter. Comes with dessert track tires and a set of 13 plus paddle tires. Has bucket seats, roll cage and KC lights. For more pictures please email.”
UPDATE: Tom noted that this is no longer on KSL’s Website (and I confirmed it). I can only assume it sold, but that seems like a pretty quick sale given (only listed one day) the price.
