Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This looks cleaned up and ready to hit the road.
“Restored registered and on the road 1949 CJ-3A. new tub, NO rust / rot rebuilt moter and axles with lockright in rear axle. to much more to list but restored from the ground up. has over $8000 into it. if interested e-mail I will talk have lots of pic’s. Joe”
The price appears to high given the state of the body, so I expect the price to drop before it is sold.
“I am posting this for my uncle it is a willys jeep year is between a 46-54. All the parts are there except the air cleaner, It has the original flathead motor, hi/lo transfer case. It would be good to restore or for parts. $1500 obo 502-291-0638 Jeremy”
This might be a pretty good price as it runs and drives. No glaring problems with the body that I see.

This looks pretty good.
“1950 Jeep CJ-3A. Original 4 cylinder engine, new radiator core, fuel pump, re-built starter. Runs great! Saginaw steering. Two soft tops, roll-bar and tow bar. All wheel/axle seals recently serviced and replaced. Lots of extra parts.”
This looks like a very good price.
“Great old Jeep! I just do not use anymore and it is in my barn. Runs great–probably needs fresh gas. All origininal. Call 608-576-3889.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2500. An Overdrive can be purchased for extra?

I’m not if there is anything from 1942 on this jeep. Looks more like a CJ-3A.
“Jeep is a work in progress, needs to be finished, has box tube frame, PTO winch, full cage, CB, top w/ doors, 44″ growd hawgs, tilt steering, built 350 small block, 194 heads, torker intake, outside frame headman headers, 14blt rear, d44 front. Comes with New hydralic assist braking system, sm420 4spd, 205 transfer case and 44” spare. needs steering and brakes done and she’s ready to rock, “

It appears the body has been painted since it was put up for sale a couple months ago. This appears to be a good price.

Based on the header in the pic, I’m guessing this is running a buick V6.

This looks nice enough, though the front springs seem to be sagging a bit.
