Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (11/20/2020) Looks like a full rebuild that will take more effort than the seller suggests.
“Check out this sweet 1951 cj3a. She has a very solid body. Bubba cut a 2 holes in the rear. I’m guessing to use so kind of equipment. Mobile welder or something off a PTO. She was a work jeep for sure. But looks to be taken care off. Other then the hood the body has this cool German desert camo kind of patina too it and check out the vintage mascot painted one it. It says “go devil powered” pretty Rad!! Also on the tail gate you can still make out the willys four wheel drive. I have a windshield frame gas tank and radiator for it. As is. has a tile and non op reg. But she has her spot in line to be fixed up and it won’t take much to get her going and street worthy again!!”

All receipts, lots of brand new parts Rebuilt transmission, transfer case, axles, steering box, clutch new in box, new springs and shackles, new brakes engine machined. New seat foam. Other than the body almost everything is fully restored to original condition. 4000obo.”
UPDATE: Better pics of the CJ-3A. Now the price is $11,000. It looks in good shape.

“Vintage CJ3A in excellent condition with all original running gear, flat-head 4 converted 12 volt with alternator and electric fuel pump, new fuel tank, new carburetor. Electric wiper on drivers side, manual in passenger side. Vinyl top with doors. Runs great.”

(01/22/2021) This could use some work, but runs and drives.
“Rare 1950 CJ-V35/U military jeep used by the Marines and Navy, only 1,000 produced. This one is the 552 produced. The CJ-V35/U is one of the rarest military Jeeps ever built by Willys. This would be a good addition to your military vehicle collection.
The Jeep is in good running condition. It has new radiator, generator, exhaust pipe & muffler, carburetor. The Jeep is 12 volts and has the original hood and headlight bezels. Tires are in good condition with little wear. The floorboards have been replaced, but with plate metal instead of replacement panels. The cutout between the 2 seats is where the generator was mounted for the radio.
The passenger side of the jeep needs some TLC. Looks like there was a spare tire on that side at one time. Both cowl side steps have places that has rusted holes. This is the only place on the Jeep that has rust through. The gas gauge and speedometer need to be hooked up. Included in the auction is the original gas tank and hood. Also include is a new full passenger side repair panel plus all 3 manuals for the Jeep. No title will come with a Georgia Bill of Sale.”
Sounds like it runs and drives? It’s got a 2A body and likely an f-head engine.
