This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1958 United States Navy Willys Jeep CJ 3B, Barn find at estate sale. Chassis off frame restoration in process, mechanically nearly completed. Tub and all sheet metal blasted and primed. Matching numbers. Very well done and in excellent condition. Needs body work and paint and final assembly. Has original brass military vin plate”

(11/05/2016) Looks solid. It seems like the tranny & tc are back a ways. It’s missing a gauge.
“Own a classic! Professionally rebuilt and installed Buick V6 engine still being broken in. Replaced radiator, water pump, distributor, everything a new engine needs to run right. Transmission gone over and syncros replaced as needed. Has overdrive, new gas tank. new electric wiper, soft top and bikini top. 31′ tires ready for mud or rocks.”

(04/25/2017) Has a rear PTO. Ran when parked.
“Vintage 1954 Willys Jeep with factory Rear PTO, it is pretty much original with 4 cyl motor and standard trans, the body is pretty straight just needs some paint. It was used on a old farm for mowing with the rear PTO.. It has been sitting in the old barn for awhile but was running when parked. It will need some Tlc to get her running and will need some new tires but a very cool old Jeep for Project.”

“1953 CJ3B. Freshly rebuilt Chev. 2.8l V6. Power steering, power brakes with 11″ drums. New gas tank, new canvas top (Bestop). Tow bar and wiring to connect to tow vehicle. Built to be used off or on road. Clean title. Comes with extra front and rear axles, transfer case, trans housing, heater box, and seat frames. Willys Jeep and Utility Vehicle service manuals..”

Bill spotted this one. It’s not clear why the seller thinks this project is an M-606.
“1961 Willys Cj3b, actually it’s the military version, an M606, still has the f-head engine, turns over easily, retains the waterproof military distributor, Saginaw steering has been added, transmission and transfer case are original, body is pretty straight, original seat frames, out of DMV system, sold with bill of sale, I bought this with the hope of restoring it to its military configuration , but waaaay too many projects are ahead of it.”

“Selling my 1953 Jeep Willys CJ3B. It has a buick 231 v6 motor that has been rebuilt and runs great. The T90 three speed transmission and Dana 18 transfer case have been gone through with new seals and parts. It runs, drives, and stops. The axles are original and have 5.38 gears. The body is solid and has very little to almost no rust. Phone calls only please, text and email will not be answered. I am asking $3500 cash. Local face to face buyers only. I will not ship and do not need help selling this item.’
