Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (06/18/2014) Good looking CJ-3B.
“Engine rebuild included: new pistons and rings, machined the crank and cam, new oil pump, all new seals, and new lifters.Issues: I had this on the road last year and it drove good and climbs any thing pretty much. I have struggled with it overheating and one of the new oil lines needs replaced in order to drive it. The radiator had been checked and cleaned but I believe the overheating could be due to the radiator. So the jeep still needs some work done to it but you will love it once it has some TLC.Body: In amazing shape. It has some minor surface rust but no holes throughout the body.
You are bidding on a 1954 Willy’s CJ-3B jeep. The motor has been rebuilt with hard seats to run unleaded gas and has less than 500 miles on it. The transmission has been resealed to take care of those pesky leaks. Many new parts to include: battery, break master cylinder, break slave cylinders have been refurbished, rubber break lines, steering gear box resealed, new clutch kit, and misc. items.
Engine rebuild included: new pistons and rings, machined the crank and cam, new oil pump, all new seals, and new lifters.
