“Hey all, I am selling my ’53 CJ3B. $500 for it. It has NO title or VIN plate on it.. also needs an engine. body is in very good condition. pics: http://rides.webshots.com/album/572853315xvjPBQ I will take trades on VW aircooled Bus parts, trans, engines, etc.”
This looks to be a post 1956 CJ-3B given the large speedometer.
“1946 willys jeep includesa new F head motor and 2 transmissions and transfer cases. This would be a great restoration project.”
UPDATE: Still Available
(09/15/2010) This looks good, but the bottom of the driver’s side of the body doesn’t quite look straight. I’m not sure if there is a rail along the bottom, a little indent or what it is or just a photo issue.
“Nice running and driving willys. 4 Cyl , dana 44 rear end. New tags untill 2011. . 559-593-3590. Thanks.”
The price looks good.
“For sale is a great project, It is a 1953 Jeep Willys Flat Fender CJ3B that is in great condition. It is a project that I started but lost interest. It has a Chevy 327, and a T18 Tranny with Dana 20 Transfer. Tranny and Transfer are not installed, but all parts are there. It has been sanded down and primed in OD Green. Runs 33″ tires with decent thread. The Jeep is in great condition, just waiting to be finished. Feel free to email for more details.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $650.
“Don’t laugh. This is a great parts Jeep. Frame;vin plate/Maryland title in my name; both axles; 4 rims; windshield frame & wiper motors/mirror arm; rear hitch; side mounted gas can holder; transmission/transfer case/bellhousing with all shift levers; grille with headlight buckets and trim chrome rings; steering wheel with complete column; frt seat frames (feet need some minor work); rear driveshaft; shocks w/special washers; various body panels could be used as replacement parts; footman loops; and etc.
The body panel laying in the back does-not go with this Jeep. I figured up over $2000 in parts, if parted out. I’m just tired of moving it from place to place. Its time someone else enjoyed it or used it for parts. BE PREPARED TO TRAILER IT HOME!”
Sebastain is now one of the few people I know that owns jeeps on two continents (USA & Colombia). He is now the proud owner of the jeep below. You can see more pics at his website. Congrats Sebastian!
Sebastian wrote, “Hi, great news, I bought a CJ-3B to have in Pittsburgh. I still have the red 1954 CJ-3B back in Colombia, which thanks to family and friends is still in great shape. The new one is a 1953 yellow 3B, restored here in Pittsburgh by Chuck Curty, one of the founders of the “Flat Fender Club of Butler”. Chuck did an amazing job with this car, I am very lucky he let me have it. Take of look of some pics that I posted on the flat fender club blog:”
