This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The front looks pretty good. No pics of the sides or rear.
“I have a 1953 Willys with a 327 Chevy V-8, 5/38 gears, three speed with overdrive manual trans. ALL ORIGINAL METAL. This was my dad’s for 40 years, now I must sell immediately! Rough shape, needs restored, but when she runs, she’ll get you where you need to go, and then some.”

This CJ-3B has changed colors. It is now green? It’s been painted in the last 6 days! Old color on the right. New color on the left. The seats have been recovered too? Or, this is just a different jeep being sold by the same seller at the same price? Interesting ….

“Pretty cool old CJ3b with restored western snow plow. New hydraulics installed for plow. new AT tires, original ’60s mag wheels. Plows great. Starts and runs easy, but smokes like a chimney. Original motor with many years and miles with spare short block ready to rebuild. New paint about two years old. We’ve sold our place in the mountains, so I have no need for this cool toy any more. I am willing to trade this antique Jeep with plow for a Harley Davidson street glide, or police model electra glide or similar HD motorcycle.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
“1954 Willys Jeep, CJ3b. Has a roll bar and a tow bar. In good shape. It’s been sitting so it needs a new battery, seals for the carburator and brake lines. Had a baby, husband wouldn’t let me put a baby seat in it. :)”
UPDATE: This was $85,000 for the whole collection. I have found some related craigslist ads. See them below.
I’ve found a couple references to the sale of this collection. Anyone know more? Based on the pic to the right, these don’t appear in great condition. My guess is that this is over priced.

1946 CJ-2A $4995
This one looks perfectly find. The price doesn’t seem that outrageous.
“1946 Willys C-J2A spruce green all original condition, partially restored with new canvas removable top – runs and drives – $4,995”
1948 CJ-2A $11,500
This one doesn’t look like it is in great condition. There’s no reason to think it is worth $11,500.

Here’s that complete rebuild project you always wanted.
“1958 Willys CJ-3B Flatfender project. Motor turns free and will run with some minor work. All systems and complete and present. Body needs work. No title. I would like $300 OBO or willing to trade for a canoe or kayak.”

Here’s a nice looking CJ-3B.
“1965 CJ-3B High Hood Willys, Runs and drives, 289 v8, 3 speed, NEW Battery, Clutch, Starter, Alt, Rollcage, Front Window, Advanced Adapters CHROME fender well headers with Purple Hornie Exhaust, And new Best top Soft Top, and doors”
UPDATE: Mike and the seller agreed to a deal, but the seller backed out of his agreement with Mike (hopefully, Mike found this out before he made the trip to see it). No doubt someone probably offered more.
“Here is my “53 Willys jeep, it has the original 4 cylinder motor with the 6 volt system. The motor, transmission, and transfer case are all in real good working order. The transmission has a very rare feature, it has the torque gear in it. What that is if you don’t already know, is the fourth shifter you can hopefully see in the picture. It more or less gives you a high and low range for each gear. Which is kind of nice for on the road. Because these aren’t made for speedanyway. The frame is in good shape,no holes rusted threw. The jeep is licensed with antique license which from what I am told they are transferrable. I believe they were $75, a one time fee.”
