UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $1750.   I think this is a good deal.

This ad caught my interest because I’d never heard of Newport, Washington.  Newport is located north of Spokane and west of Sand Point, Idaho.  Looks like a beautiful place.

The jeep is interesting too.  The drive train has been modernized and the jeep outfitted with a modern cage. The engine probably has some extra spunk for a v-6, but bored 60 over suggests that it might not have a ton of life left.

“1953, Complete running gear out of 1968 Jeepster Commando, 3:73 gears, model 27 up front has a 44 in the back, model 18 transfer case,turbo 400 with shift kit, 225 V6 punched over 40 headers and turbo mufflers, aluminum high rise with 4 barrel carb, saginaw power steering, 2 inch lift kit, we have a few spare parts that go with it. Hasn’t been started in three or for years. missing coil and ballast resister. Has a nice full cage. Front and rear seats out of CJ-7”

“1954 Jeep Willys 3b project. This Jeep would make a perfect project or with a little work make the pefect Hunters Jeep. It has the High hood, Buick V6 motor and a PTO winch. It has been sitting for a few years and at this time does not run. If you have any questions give me a call and I will answer them the best I can.”

This CJ-3B has about 23,000 miles on it.  The body looks in good shape, though the new paint job could possibly be hiding dings and rust. The rims are interesting — I'm not sure if those are newer or old rims.  Kimberly is 2 hours southeast of Boise.

New Bikini top & doors, new (USED) seats. All new Diamond plate was installed.  A very solid Jeep overall. Runs great with no mechanical issues. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3600.

“I bought this cj3b last fall with the intent to make a rock crawler but lost interest. This is a rare high hood model that was only avaible for a few years. Here is what I know or have been told about it. The engine is a Buick 225 v6, T14 3spd tranny, Warn overdrive with a stacked PTO, Dana 44 rear, Dana 27 front and 4:88 gears, all from a 1970s Cj5. There is a pto winch on it that does work! The Jeep runs and drives great, but it does need some work on the brakes, (pulls to the right while braking).”

This CJ-3B appears meticulously restored.

"Willys 1953 CJ3B restored, all new metal and paint, everything else mechanical new or rebuilt, transferred to 12 volt, new soft top, new looking original stickers and markings, engine & dashboard are new, orig seats reupholstered 599 miles since rebuild"

Even though the picture isn't great, it's easy to tell this CJ-3B is likely in great shape. 

"There no room to list all that this has on it.  You really should see it to beleive what it has.  I can send photo to the person who has placed a bid.  I also have a matching off road cargo trailer that looks great with the 3B.  The motor is a 350ci Chevy with only 1000 miles on it.  Lots and lots of chrome, just to much to list here. "
