Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This looks in good shape, though it does have a few mods. Has anyone ever seen dual tank inlets light the ones on the rear of this jeep? (At least I think those are gas inlets).

“I have a 1959 CJ5 that is in good shape, titled and plated PA Antique, runs good, has a good frame, some bondo on the tub but new front fenders, new dash new wiring, new exhaust, has the period correct rear hitch and I have a box of parts that I was going to use to restore it. Priorities have changed and I would like to sell it. It is all there and would be nice to go to someone that can appreciate and restore it. More pictures available.”

“This 1971 Jeep CJ5 was sold new at Complete Motors in Fort Collins, Colorado, and later moved to Kansas and Texas before being acquired by the selling dealer six years ago. The truck was reportedly refinished in red in 2003 and is powered by a 225ci V6 mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. Modifications include a suspension lift over aftermarket wheels with 33″ tires as well as aftermarket lighting and a Warn Belleview winch. This CJ is offered with a soft top and doors, records since new, and a clean Texas title.”
I think the price includes both the CJ-5 and the Topeka Mower.

UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $2600.
Given the Meyer top, the plow, and the running condition, this might be a good price. the body is rough, but we’ve seen much worse.
“1962 CJ5 with original (or at least correct period) hydraulic lift plow.
Starts, runs, and drives. Plow operates as well.
It has F4-134 Hurricane engine and 3spd manual trans. High/Low on transfer case both working.
Factory heater. Hard top and doors (with roll up windows).
System was converted to to 12V including recent alternator which is charging as it should.
Frame is good, body has some patches and could use some more attention but plows just fine as-is.
Needs a brake pressure switch for brake lights to work but headlights and taillights are working.
Valve lash just adjusted and valve covers replaced.
Windshield has a crack but not leaking.
Bill of sale only – no title available.”

“I picked this up as a barn find about three years ago without seat frames, seats, wheel/tires, etc.
I have a considerable amount of time and money into it to get to this point.
Here are the details:
Clear title in hand.
The tires are brand new with less than 5 miles on them.
Seat covers are brand new.
Engine has good compression, starts and runs fine. Transmission shifts as expected.
Top has some yellowing on the clear plastic and a zipper that needs to be fixed. I understand there is a product that can mitigate that issue.
