Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Here is a very complete mostly original CJ5. I believe it received a frame-off restoration in the 1980s. Judging by the engine swap, and the quality of paint both on the exterior as well as under the tub body. The frame is rock solid. Top speed is around 45mph-50mph from the factory. Not suitable for the highway. I have driven it a few hundred miles around town with no mechanical problems.
Almost 100% solid body – Small patch under tool box, rust spot near driver’s fender. Some body damage on driver’s rear quarter. Small amount of rust at bottom of tailgate.
Ultra rare Meyer Half Cab
Late 70s Buick 231 V-6, a little cold natured but runs well once warmed up with a great amount of torque
Could probably use a carburetor cleaning
3 speed manual

“I’m selling a 1971 Jeep wrangler CJ 5, It is lifted and has a set of 33×12.50-15 wheels on it. It runs great, starts right up, clutch feels good, shifts good. Its 4 wheel drive and has the twin stick transfer case with the ” dauntless V6″ engine. The Jeep was restored in the early to mid 90’s, i believe its all original except for the paint and wheels. The front seats are in good condition, only rear seat has started to show wear. With a little work, you can have a great beach cruiser or just all around great fun Jeep. These CJ5’s are becoming harder and harder to find so here’s your chance to own one. Come take it for a drive around my place and lets talk Jeeps.”
This has a winch and a warn OD. Could be a good price. Has a dash made from diamond plate.

“Hi I have a 1960 jeep with a plow and plow pump has 4 cylinder engine, it ran but sold the exhaust manifold off of it and has now sat for a year; FRAME IS SOLID shackles and suspension not rusted, body is not terrible, with work can be used 3 speed manual 4×4, pictures aren’t good in a dark barn, but come take a look bring it home Let’s make a deal call or text anytime”

This has some interesting updates. The fuel inlet has been moved to above the body and through the top. The rear cargo area is wood-lined.
