About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
I just thought parking this on a shipping container was odd.
“1959 jeep willy runs perfect no title but i have bill of sale is a colectable. cosmeticly fear condition need paint job but drives good nice for a project car”
(01/15/2012) This runs and drives. Looks like a good price. It appears to have a PTO winch, too.
“1958 willys cj5. Have all paper work. New brakes and new radiator. Runs and drives. All original. Great project jeep or just drive it. Will go anywhere. Have some extra parts. Will send picture if interested.”
This stock CJ-5 might be worth a look. It appears solid.

“1955 Willy’s Jeep CJ5 includes: hydraulic plow, removable tow bar, factory hard top with full doors, soft doors (no soft top), new tires and white steel wheels with less than 100 miles, original locking warn hubs, converted to 1977 Ford 4 cylinder with a tilt steering column but I am including the original motor and steering column in this sale. When emailing with questions, please include “Jeep” or “Willy’s” in the subject line to filter spammers. If you would like me to call you to answer questions please email me a contact number and where you are located and I will call you back. Thanks for looking.”
It’s supposed to have only 7,917 miles on it. This may be worth a look.
“I have a 1955 Willy’s CJ-5 (First year of the CJ-5). Extremely rare find in this condition with only 7,917 original miles. It has been garaged almost it’s entire life. I picked this one up from the original owner and spent some time on it to get it back into driving shape. Now runs and drives, still 6-volt, everything completely stock and original. Even the original paint is in good shape! Have the original owners manual and promo poster to go with it.”
There seems to be value here. Engine runs, cab looks good, and there are extra body parts.
“1957 Willy’s Jeep CJ5 with plow.
Engine runs great, does not leak oil, drive train in good condition, brakes need some attention.
This was stored in a barn for many years. Converted to 12V starts right up and runs great, could use a new starter drive.
F head 134 engine, lock out hubs. Body has rust but not that bad for a 57. I have new rear body panels that will go with it. No title, will sell with bill of sale.”
Bob forwarded this unusual CJ-5. I think calling this a custom CJ-5 is an understatement. The price is surprising.
“For Sale by owner. http://www.MyJeepForSale.com. 1974 CJ5 Classic Jeep. One of a kind Jeep. $49,000. Mileage: ~ 15,200. Original Owner. Stored in Heated Garage. Recently restored/repainted. Different from every other jeep in the world! Significantly different dual rear wheels. Call Sheila at 419-626-1979 x200 .
Rough condition, needs restored or good for hunting truck
I bought 3 yrs ago as a project and it has sat.
Overheated and radiator has a leak now. Otherwise started easily and ran well.
Would not reccommend trying to start without a tune up. IE, purge old tarnished gas, new oil and filter changes. etc.
4×4 works perfectly. transmission, transfer case, differentials all work perfectly.
as far as I can tell all original equipment, eng, trans, transfer case and differentials.
These facts alone make it worth a grand in the condition it is currently in.
If you dont know this dont bother responding. No lowball offers.
$1000 is a fair and honest price and my bottom line.
I have not started it since it overheated. I am confident w some love, a thermostat and some attention itll run great.
Tires hold air and have low tread but are road worthy.
Of course it has rust. mostly surface. frame is solid. some rust to body mounts. should repair easily.”
This doesn’t run, but sure looks like it has potential.
“1962 Willy’s 4wd Jeep has rebuilt 283 engine.
Body is in great shape. Needs a little work. Does not run.
Also comes with 4 cylinder original Jeep engine needs to be rebuilt also has mics…parts. Plus 4- 17″x 11″deep Jeep rims.
Asking $1500.00 obo”
This doesn’t run, but that’s because the seller doens’t have the key. This deserves a close look.
“I have a 1958 Willys Jeep CJ5 Project not currently running, Complete, Stock powertrain 4cyl 3spd, Not sure what all it needs to get running I do not have a key to ignition so key would be a good start. Previous owner put new timing set on engine so timing might need to be set and radiator and gas tank are removed but come with Jeep.”
