Doug spotted this ad (http://limaohio.craigslist.org/pts/3736548170.html), which led me to Rudy’s CJ Website: http://www.rudys-cjs.com
Rudy’s is located in Findlay, Ohio, and specializes in 1976-1983 CJ-5s, CJ-7s and CJ-8s (scramblers). They sell both complete jeeps and parts.
According to the website, Rudy’s forte is “selling originally rot free, unpatched CJs for you to take to the next level or personalize or enjoy in it’s original glory as it sits. Our philospophy is that all the mechanicals can be easily resolved but it is only original metal once. We do not do any fiberglass Jeeps nor do we ever patch frames.”
The rear of this appears heightened. I thought the look was interesting.
“Hey I am selling my jeep cj5. It has an amc 401 with a 3 speed. Transfer case has teralow kit 3:1 low range. dann 44 rear with detroit and 4.56. Front is dana 30 with spool and 4.56. It has corbreau seats with 4 point harnesses. new windshield and wiper motors in last couple of months. also new alternator. Last week I just put bed liner in the tub. There are no front fenders, i took them off because I was going to do tube fenders but never got around to it. I have a home made top and doors just for the snow. The top will not hold up to high speeds. It currently has 36″ tsl swampers on it with lots of tread left. Also has brand new stock carb with only 3 or 4 drives. have a 12000 lb mile marker winch on the front that works but someone stole the solenoid box so it needs that. looking to sell asap, may trade asking $2700 obo. Text is best. (360)270-0062. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
Listed as a military jeep, this is clearly a CJ-5.
“Military issued 1955 Willy’s Jeep · Good condition · Valid Florida title · 4 cylinder / 4 wheel drive, manual transmission, 2 door, all original parts (except seats), tire jack etc, winch, spare tire & key · Needs a fresh battery, gas, tune up & than it will run (inspected by a ASE Master Certified Mechanic) · The jeep has been in my family since 1982 · Last ran 3 years ago”

“I have a great deal on a classic, 1957 Willlys jeep with good body. Call anytime for more details (773 330 0241)”
This starts and runs. This looks like a diamond that needs some cleaning.
“1960 Willys Jeep. All original all the way down to the hub caps! Has and aftermarket Kelly All-Steel cab on it, front tow hitch, good tires, starts and runs good. Engine, transmission and 4-wd all work good. Body is in very good shape for its age with only a little bit of rust starting in a few places. A few small dents, but nothing that could not be repaired easliy. This is an original Willys Jeep and if you are looking for a restorable collectible…this is the one! Thanks for looking and call or email for more information if you need it!

This has front and rear PTOs. It runs and drivers, but has no title.
