These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Brett spotted this great find. If you are looking for a CJ-5 to use as a platform for a flattie, here’s a great price on one. The body looks in poor condition.

“A jeep with a lot of potential. 1968 CJ5. 225v6. T-14 3 speed Transmission. Lots of New parts. New Radiator, Front Wheel bearings. Brakes all the way around. New Clutch, Alternator, Regulator, battery and more. Needs some little things but not far off from being a real nice classic. I have many extra parts. Tranny, Transfer Case. Extra set of wheels with mud tires. Runs good. This is not a rig your gonna go 65 mph in. It is geared low and meant for play and trail driving. $2,750 OBO.”

“Jeep runs strong has a 304 fresh rebuilt runs an drive have a clean title. 4×4 works only thing it needs is body secured to frame better it is bolted but could be stronger but is driven as is. asking 875 i have spare parts for jeep. needs radiator an fan but came with an electric fan an recently got a radiator for it. needs master cylinder cuz front brakes dont work the best but still stops! Needs a little work but well worth it”
