Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1965 CJ5. Has been sitting in a shed since the 80s. It does not run but I can’t see it taking much work to get it running. Body is very usable. Front floors have some old patches but its not in terrible shape. Rear floor is in good shape. Toolbox under the seat is decent just has typical hat channel rust. Nicest untouched original dash I have ever seen, not a single extra hole has been drilled. Still has original seats with whats left of the original fabric. Frame looks solid no holes or major rot. Rear springs have some broken leafs so they will need to be replaced. Fiberglass top is in great shape. Doors are rough on the bottom but can be fixed. Excellent candidate for restoration or get it running/driving and enjoy it just the way it is. $2800. Sold with a bill of sale only. Located in Connecticut”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,000. The seller no longer indicates the miles on the speedometer as “original miles”.
(08/01/2022) This looks like a good build, but the reason I am posting it is that, for some reason, it has a serial number tag that places it as a CJ-5 with a V-6 with emissions from around mid-1969 (8305017 360695). So, maybe this is a CJ-3A body on a newer chassis.
