Might be worth a look. Some early Free Lock hubs on the CJ-5.

This is an unusual build.

“Jeep off road only, no title, built this with my son , then he went into the Air Force , I finished the build and never took it in the mud. It’s a racing jeep, Chevy 327 with 385 hp Chevy running gear, shift kit, electric water pump. Electric fan, Radiator in the back, it has roll around tires on it now, will take bigger tires. Engine has all the goodies, will run on pump gas I have racing fuel in it. I have 12,500 invested in this project. It just needs a driver. It’s loud and it’s fast, will pull front off the ground. I am to old to be doing this that’s why I never took it in the mud”
It runs and has a fiberglass body. Might be worth a look.

“258 6 cylinder, header, 2 barrel Weber carb. Runs and drives. All fiberglass. 2 new tires. Fresh fluids. 4000 obo. Needs a power steering pump, and accerator pump on carb. Easy fix. Still runs good. Just not fast as it could be. No title . Bill of sale. Has never been titled. Needs some tlc”
This vehicle is located just south of Spokane. If you were planning on stretching a body, maybe this will meet your needs.

“Bought to finish and time ran out. Has running v8 and wagoner axels. Rear is installed. No driveline installed. Vehicle is stretched. Have pretty much all parts to finish. And extra parts.”
Tom shared this rebuilt CJ-5. I haven’t seen an early KS speedometer with that tall of bezel (outer circle). Maybe it is the light color of the outer ring that is throwing me off.

“Must have for Willys Jeep collector. First year 1955 Willys cj5. Bone stock with rare original speedometer and gages and they work. No alterations still 6volt system. New correct tires, brakes ( emergency brake also works) tune up , battery and fluids. Cranks first time every time. Drives and stops straight. PO rebuilt motor, new transmission, clutch ect. Recovered seats and painted a few years back. Only driven 1100-1200 miles since. Ga normally won’t issue title on vehicle this age but I have copies of two South Carolina and one Virginia titles so Ga did issue a title in my name. Priced $2700 below Hagerty’s #3 good value. New Bestop and doors.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** WAS $800.
This looks like a good price. Includes a Kelly half cab and snowplow.
“I have a 1957 Willy’s Jeep for sale runs and drives but doesn’t stop plow works jeep is pretty ruff good for parts or plow vehicle I have plow and cab $800 takes it”
Between the plow, half cab, and other parts, there seems to be some value here.

“975 CJ-5 Jeep with Meyers all angle plow 6’, straight 6 cylinder engine. New snow tires. Great for driveway snow removal. Needs minor work like clutch fork link reattached, was running when clutch rod dropped out and minor body work as shown in last photo.”
It has a Meyer-branded half-cab.

Needs some work. Great project vehicle. OBO”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2500.
Thanks to Andy for sharing this one. It has a PTO, rear gearbox, and a drum pulley. The shackles are on the front of the front springs, so this might not be a 1955. This appears to have early Husky hubs.
