Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The seller indicates this is a former fire brush or pumper jeep.
“1964 CJ6 Starts, Drives, stops. Practically rust free. Govt nomenclature tag, and former fire pumper. Includes, winch, and new Walcks front bumper and rivets. All sheet metal and bolts included. New exhaust manifold and exhaust system replaced.
Will need attention to: Hood, fenders and possibly a trans/transfer rebuild, gas tank needs cleaning.
Basically brought this home and secondary to exhaust repair it sat.

“1963 cj6. Last year of the “willys” branded tailgate. F134 engine. Starts right up. Run, drives stops. New brake lines and brakes/ shoes and cylinders. New tires. 4WD works. Kelly hard top. Clean title. As far as I know all original. Message with any questions.”

(01/27/2021) Listed as a 1967, it looks to be a post 1972 CJ-6.

Tom spotted this CJ-6. It needs some work, but seems worth a look. It doesn’t run.
“1968 Jeep CJ6 – not a Renegade as FB would not let me list CJ6 – I have owned this Jeep for over five years – I bought it to restore however I have too many projects. The good… complete original unmolested Jeep including seats, engine is free – I have not tried to start it – rare Meyer hardtop – pretty solid body – rust in driver floor as pictured – I do have a title in my name. The bad – it’s an old Jeep that needs love”

Runs and drives.
“Posting for a friend. He’s selling his Rare 1974 jeep CJ 6. It has the 258 inline 6 that runs like a top. 3spd manual. Has dana 30 front axles and Dana 44 in the rear with limit slip. It is in very restore able shape or to be customized. Has 85584 original miles on it. New fuel tank and fairly new tires mounted on the orignal wheels radiator was replaced about a year ago. New windshield also. He’s asking 10k.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4850.
Has some mods. The cut sides aren’t finished off quite the same; the passenger side is more finished than the flat, straight angle of the driver’s side. Overall, the look isn’t all that bad in my opinion. I think if there was care taken, with more material left on the front side of the cuts this might make an interesting look.
