Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Looking to sell my 66 CJ6. For the Jeep ran and drove down the road before I tore it down. Has the Dauntless V6 in which ran great.This is a project it is down to the frame. Frame has been sandblasted and painted with Eastwood rust prevention paint. New two and a half inch BDS lift kit with shocks springs steering stabilizer. I have tons of new parts to go with fenders, floor pan, radiator, gas tank, complete engine gasket kit, new wire harness, Yukon gear sets with limited slip rear 373 gear. Have original 27 front Axle and a Dana 30 with disc brakes has already had the gear set put in. Cab from CJ5 with doors half cab with doors extra set of doors also included is a 67 Jeep commando with V6 and drivetrain and body but very rough. I’m sure I’m missing some things everything was taken apart put in bags and labeled. The CJ6 has title, no title with commando. Located Clinton Illinois 61727 $5000 no trades

1957 Jeep Willys CJ-6 $6,900 Gilbert, AZ
CJ-6 pretty solid, of course it’s in AZ so they have an advantage out there, but it looks like a nice Jeep and has a Half Cab Top.

What you’re looking at is the shell of a CJ6. Hard to find in any condition. The frame is in EXCELLENT condition and the body is decent for a New England Jeep. It needs floors in the front (someone did them but they’re not great), the firewall is hacked, and the driver side rear corner has a chunk missing for some odd reason but 95% of what it needs is flat sheet metal. If you have a rusty CJ5 with a good drivetrain in it you can combine the two and have yourself a decent CJ6. Has axles and suspension but no engine, transmission, transfer case, driveshafts, or steering. Appears to have had an F134. It has no serial numbers, data plates, VIN, or paperwork. It’s a shell. John has this CJ6 listed out in MN, noted as a Fire Department rig then a was put to work in a Water Department. The top on this one is really nice 8 Windows, 3 Wipers, it looks really neat.
Playing the where’s Waldo game there are hints of a M715 and FC-170 in the background, so you might want to bring a bigger check book, but more importantly a bigger trailer.

Runs, drives and stops. Rare CJ6A; one of 460. Plow works. Bought new by the Janesville Wisconsin Fire Department, originally red; then used by the Janesville Wisconsin Water Department and painted yellow. Jeep is in Fountain City Wisconsin. Mileage is 25,247; possible it is 125,247 but doubtful. The Jeep is far from perfect. These are hard to find in any condition; this is in good shape for the Midwest!

“New tires, rims, aluminum radiator, brake lines, master cylinder, and wheel cylinders. New carburetor, choke cable, transmission (parking) brake handle & cable. New tie rod ends (4), & rebuilt steering bellcrank, 4 new HD Rancho shocks, 4 new HD leaf springs. Fresh oil change + filter. New shifter boots. Compression is good on all cylinders. New exhaust. The passenger rear fender (black) is a steel replacement fender that is riveted in from the previous owner. Starts right up and drives good. Marine grade Bluetooth speakers on aftermarket rollbar, seats are freshly reupholstered. Rust is not bad at all on this thing! Comes with several extras including the original rims and original size tires, new carpet for the interior, a bull nose bar, and a spare carburetor. Has the Dauntless 225 fireball V6 engine.
