Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Ive got a 1970 Cj6 with a 4 cyl and manual trans. Was running but has been sitting. I have videos of it running. Was always used on the hunting lease so no title but can put you in contact with a title service that i have used in the past if youre trying to get it on the road. Has rust so the body isnt the best but makes a great hunting jeep. $1000 obo.”

“Update 8/24 – compression test all good. Running much better now with the timing set. Carb still needs tuning but can drive down the road now, plenty of power.
Original – 1967 CJ-6. That’s right, 6. I picked this up recently and am contemplating a build but wanted to test the waters to see if it’s worth more to someone else. Has Chevy 305, Holly 600 with a Buick steering column and transmission.

(11/15/2018) Not many of these in the states.
“I’m thinking of selling my 1978 Jeep Viasa CJ6. Its a Spanish made CJ6 by visa with a SOFIM 74hp Diesel engine in it. I purchased it over in Italy and brought it back. Been slowly Jeep-a-sizing it but I’ve got 2 teenagers now and would like to see it go to a good Jeeper. No tire kickers please. If there is another version of this Viasa Jeep in the US I’d be surprised, pretty cool ride.”

It doesn’t run, but appears to have potential.
“Up for sale is a non running 1957 cj5.
Have 2 motors with parts. It did run awhile ago my grandpa bought it for deer hunting. It was a military surplus jeep. It was sitting in a barn for 15 years and the motor got stuck. Tore that motor apart and it needs to be rebuildt. Bought another motor which welded a bearing so that motor needs work to. I have both of the heads as well as one clean good block which were all gone through by an engine rebuilder and are good to go. Also have a rebuilt starter and a new gasket set as well as new spark plugs. Both motors ran at one point I have all the parts that I took off. I also have a tow bar, and other various parts as well as the title.”

(11/25/2018) This CJ-6 has a 3 point hitch and a rear PTO.

– front winch, lever however to disengage has broken off (but still works)
– has a 3 pt Monroe hitch

– the driveshaft is missing for rear PTO”

(08/07/2018) Looks in good shape. Has the driver’s side floor been patched or filled?
“ALL ORIGINAL! except for wheels, tires and paint. 54,349 original miles. This jeep is in excellent condition for a 43 year old jeep. This is NOT a restored vehicle. Some work would be required to make it perfect. Restored, these CJ6’s go for $20,000. Runs great! Drives great! 3 speed manual. Power steering. Soft top. 33″ Procomp tires. 258 inline six. Rebuilt front suspension. Dash was not painted and is still the original color of the jeep. I do have a set of the older, Willys style rims that I would be willing to throw in with asking price.”

This is a clean Jeep, not perfect but clean. I have had it in multiple car shows and parades, it gets a lot of looks and compliments, very fun project Jeep to own!!! Runs and drives great, unfortunately its not street legal and there is no title so it has to be towed to where you are going.”
