About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“I am selling a 1961 Jeep CJ6. It has a new professionaly rebuilt T-90 transmission, new clutch and throwout bearing, new fuel pump, set of tires, alternator. Original hurricane four cylinder motor. Good running Jeep but main bearings are going out. Perfect jeep for your dear lease or hunting. No Title”
(07/07/2014) Nice looking CJ-6. Are those plates on the sides original?
“This is an original Kaiser Jeep with the original 225 V6 engine. The engine is strong and runs great. It has a new Rochester carburetor with original oil bath filter. The transfer case, shifters, and lockers are all fully functional. The gearbox is quiet and shifts excellently. Just had the seats professionally re-upholstered to the original specs. It also has the original front seat belts. Lap belts of course. This Jeep is solid all around and with no rust issues. The body on the Jeep is also all original with no welding or modified hack jobs. The suspension has never been modified. It has a new speedometer. The paint is not original and faded as it is a classic Jeep. The top is in rough shape but it comes with all of the bows and door frames. This is an old Jeep, but extremely well preserved in great running condition. You rarely find them like this anymore.”
“1966 CJ6 Jeep (similar to a CJ5 but 20″ longer). 1975 Buick odd-fire V-6 with approximately 7,000 miles since rebuild. HEI (electronic ignition). Headman headers. 52 pound flywheel. T-90 tranny and Dana 18 transfer case. Dana 30 front axel with locker, Dana 44 rear with limited-slip. Custom drive shaft that has been balanced and installed with new U-joints. Clutch is controled by Wilwood hydraulic master and slave cylinders. Brakes upgraded from 9″ to 11″. New windshield, fuel cell and battery. Lifted 4″ (2″ body and 2″ suspension lifts). A heater was installed under the dash. Custom top with factory hard doors. Runs and drives good. The only item that should be addressed is that the front and rear gearing are not the same as the front axle came from a ’72 Cherokee (as did the power steering and front hubs). The front is geared at 5:38 and the rear at 4:27. There are some neat items on this jeep and I don’t have enough time to list all now. I do have a list of other items that have been done.
I did not build this jeep. I bought it over 3 years ago but due to life I was never able to do with it what I had planned. I am in the middle of a divorce and just don’t have the time or money to put much of either into making it like I had planned, so here it is.”
“Nice 1956 Jeep Cj6 for sale. 231 odd-fire V6, SM420 4speed with 7.01:1 first gear, Dana 20 with 2.46:1 gears, Dana 44 front and rear with 4:88 gears and Detroit in the rear, 4 wheel disc brakes with hydro booster, power steering, HEI ignition, Awesome cage made by FC Fabrication with removable rear bench, all seats mount to cage, Rubicon Express 4.5 inch spring under lift using YJ springs, 35″ tires, rear 1/4 panels are 3/16″ plate. I spent lots of time and money building this, but fishing is my game now and it has sat in my garage for 3 years……time to go. You don’t see many of these cj-6′”
“This particular CJ6 was modified in the early 70s during the muscle car era and it shows. It was outfitted with a Chevy Corvette 327 motor, Muncie 4 speed, roll bar, and custom dash with Stewart Warner Gauges. The Jeep has the original Dana 44 rear end and Dana 25 closed knuckle front end with Superwinch Selectable hubs, geared 5.38:1, I suspect as it came stock from the factory – it will pull your house down. The tires are 31” like new, full tread Goodyear Wranglers mounted on thick steel wagon wheels. The Jeep has a Superlift suspension lift. The full top is an original Bestop and it fits like a glove. The entire Jeep was repainted inside and out, top and bottom, and the interior was painted with a fleck gray bedliner. This Jeep is almost 60 years old, and after more than 40 years since it was painted, there is very little surface rust and zero rot. I have not seen a CJ6 advertised in the local area for over a year. About a dozen each year on Ebay, and you will be hard put to find one as clean as this one, particulary a first model year. While it has been stored inside, the paint is showing it’s age, cracking and spider webbing in several spots, and there is one small dent on the right rear corner. The body and frame is absolutely solid from front to rear, top to bottom.
The Jeep only has about 5400 miles put on it since being built back in the 70s. It starts instantly and runs like a beast. You will simply not find a more unique Jeep anywhere in the Hampton Roads area. I had visions of making it more of a daily driver and getting more use out of it. I had started some things but ran out of steam, and other projects have gotten in the way. So far I have restored the full soft top (new windows, professionally and fully restitched), added new front and rear seats and belts, upgraded to 11-inch drum brakes all around, rewired the entire Jeep (yes, ALL electrical works as it should), added a digital RetroSound radio with aux/iPod inputs, and added a Warn Overdrive for more manageable on-road jaunts. I have purchased but not installed the parts to convert to hanging pedals, hydraulic clutch and power brakes, and had also planned to add Saginaw power steering, just haven’t gotten around to it yet.”
“I have a 1970 Jeep CJ6 half cab for sale. I purchased it to build an offroad rig but I can’t justify the work/time/expenses just to go beat up such a rare and unique Jeep in the woods. Has the RARE half cab with hard doors (supposedly 1000 or less were made this year?) All factory gauges and interior still there. The body isn’t perfect by any means but it is a good base. Frame is solid. It has the Dauntless V6, 3 speed, and Dana 18 transfer case. Has a Dana 30 front axle w/ superwinch lockout hubs and Dana 44 rear axle. Unsure of gear ratio or if they have lockers. Tires are darn near brand new. There’s tons of spare parts included with the jeep including full HEI ignition system, (2) power steering systems, (3) radiators, lot’s of dauntless v6 engine parts along with other misc parts that go with.
I am asking $3500 OBO. CLEAN TITLE. Need to move off my parents property in Yakima, WA ASAP, come make me an offer. It’s loaded on my trailer so I could deliver depending on price negotiation.”
Listed as a 1955, this is clearly 1972 or later. Runs and stops, but has some rust issues. It’s a rare right hand drive model.
“1955 Jeep CJ6 right hand drive. Solid Tennessee vehicle. Great winter project. 232 6cyl. Runs and stops. Rare long wheel base. Call Tim For more info. Mon thru Sat, days. Come check it out!”
“This is a rare 1974 cj6 JEEP. It has been in my family since new. It has a small block 304 with a three speed manual transmission. It has an 8 inch lift kit on it with 18 inch rims with 37 inch Toyo tires which are practically brand new they still have the nubs on them. The body is in OK shape there is little spots of rust, the interior needs work thanks to my cat. The seats will need to be reupholstered. it has racing seats with 4 point seatbelts for front an back seats. It has custom tail lights, and tailgate. most of the body lines have been smoothed out. I also installed newer differential to have disc brakes. I also have the original one’s too. ”

Runs and drives, but needs brakes. If you email, put “Red CJ6” in the subject line.
“1967 Jeep CJ6 Engine is a 225 Buick V6 original with a 3 speed transmission The Jeep runs and drives but needs the brakes rebuilt. Jeep will need to be trailered. Jeep has been sitting several years but no rust that I can see in the body. Odometer reads 11877 miles not sure if that is accurate. Jeep has a Jacobs snow plow blade with Hydraulic cylinder up and down control that works. Asking price is $3500 or make reasonable offer. If you send email or text you must put in Subject line Red CJ6 or it will be considered junk mail. For all you out there I don’t need help selling it.
