This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a 1957 Willy’s Jeep CJ-6 for sale. It has a clean title and is currently registered as a horseless carriage in Colorado. It could also be registered as a collector vehicle depending on your desired use. For completeness it is registered as a 1954 Willy’s. This was the case when I acquired it ~2 years ago. The research I have done on the serial number/VIN suggests it is actually a 1957. This is not an issue I just wanted to highlight what I know.
I purchased it ~2 years ago. The previous owner had done quite a bit of work on the vehicle. What I know of what he did is listed below. Overall it is in really good condition. I have replaced the battery and it starts right up every time. It does not have power steering or brakes. It is a great off road vehicle as is, or is a great starting platform for an even better off road build. It has great dimensions for an off road build. The extra 20” in length over the CJ-5 provides considerable stability. Can also be driven in town and would be a fun show car.

Recent, Frame off restoration with pictures documenting the process. Powered by a Dauntless 225/231 V6 Engine coupled to a Dana 18 Transmission – SM420 with Novak adapter. Front and rear locking axles. Extra heavy duty tie rods. Front Buckets are upholstered in a hemi orange material. Custom safari roll cage finishes off the rear for a great look.This Jeep is ready to be enjoyed. Please call or text for more info.”

Heads, intake and exhaust manifolds, are missing (see picture). The drive train is all there.
CJ-6s were not strong sellers and are kind of an interesting specialty Jeep today.”

“Time to sell this thing. This is the longer tub and wheel base cj6, very rare! It has been converted to a small block Chevy 350 with a 350 trans. There is lot of stuff I have done to it over the years. If you show up I tell you about it then, Lifted, converted, susp stuff, frame, etc. . It will climb straight up a wall though. The seats are sunburned, need to be replaced or covered. Starts right up , runs good. 8500.0”
