Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1975 Jeep CJ6 for sale.
This Jeep was used in our commercial Jeep Tour business.
This and all other commercial vehicles must pass a complete DOT safety inspection and this one does.
It’s in great mechanical condition. Rear bench seats with 6 seatbelts. See Pix
Its a 1975 so it has some surface rust but no rust through that I’m aware of
It drives straight and smooth down the road at 60 + MPH
It shifts into all 3 gears as it should.
All blinkers, gages, lights, ect work as they should.
Yes it has some dings and pings.
No bondo
No spare
Straight 6 AMC 258
3-Speed transmission T-15
3.73 Gear ratio
Dana 20 Transfer case
Dana 30 front axle with disk brakes
Dana 44 one piece rear axle with drum brakes
Power steering
4 inch Skyjacker lift with shocks
Cooper SST 33 x 12.50 15’s Two years old with some rock rash (Not ones in pic)

“Original owner ordered it from the Toledo factory. Stored in a heated garage since day 1. 14,000 original miles. Probably the best example of a original CJ6 survivor. Paint still shines like new. Under the hood is near perfect. Original vinyl top windows are crystal clear. Maintained by local Jeep dealer. Still wears the original Goodyear Suburbanite tires it left the factory with. The seat covers are like new. It has been featured in our 2008 Jeep Classics Calendar and Vintage Truck Magazine.
It has a factory installed Ramsey winch on the front, wheel well cushions as well as a backseat and CB radio. The original owner had an ambulance service. This was his offroad ambulance and the 53 was its fleet number. He would make a run with it, bring it back and wash it down, back it into the garage and cover it up.
The pictures don’t do it justice. The paint is as shiney as the day it rolled off the line.”

“I have a 1963 Jeep CJ-6. It needs to be restored, frame in good shape body needs some fixing.
The good news is it is mostly there comes with a hard top and hard doors. I have the title to it and needs someone with time and energy to get it up and running.

This includes a warn winch. It runs.
“This is a great jeep,runs good with a 232 six engine,three speed trans.All gauges work even the speedo.Things that don’t work are the wipers,heater,and the front axle.Five years ago the front axle quit working so I change it out the only problem was the gear ratio was not the same as the rear end,the front is a 3:42 and the back is 3:73 so I never change the front ring gear and pinon never needed to because I never used the 4×4 anyway.It has power steering,tires are good,new fuel tank last year.It has a few rust holes but not rotted out all over .The winch is a warn 8000 works great only used for pulling wire while fencing.Winch can stay on the jeep for the price of jeep or come off for 1500.00 for jeep less winch.These cj 6 jeeps are hard to come by but are nice to restore.I have seen on ebay restored for 14,000.00.thanks for looking.No title”
