(06/30/2012) Here’s a nicely restored former Forest Service CJ-6.
“1974 Jeep Cj6 with 304V8
This Jeep is a barn find that I picked up when I lived in GA a few years ago. This CJ6 is a former US Forest Service vehicle so it is a rare survivor. The jeep sat in a barn for over 20 years and I repaired alot of things to get her on the road. All of the parts that I used were stock or NOS when I could get them. The only items that are not stock is the 2.5 inch lift springs and the 33×9.5 BFG All Terrains.
I have spare engine, axles, and many other parts that will go with the Jeep. This is prime canadate for someone to own a piece of history that will only go up in value.
email me with questions or for more photos”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8995.
Here’s a rare CJ-6.

Donny wrote me to share this photo of the family’s CJ-6 he came across recently:
He writes, “I came across a picture of my friend driving our 1958 CJ6 in 1974. My granddad bought it new, and it stayed on our ranch in Florida for all these years. Unfortunately, in 2003, it was given away in disrepair. Sure miss it now! I’ve had a Willys truck and a 2A but I miss miss this Jeep most of all! Man that Jeep could pull! The man standing by the Jeep was the greatest man in the world. My Dad”

The seller claims ‘Just the body for this style of Jeep can often sell for what I am asking’. umm . . . how do people come up with stuff like this?
“I have a few items for sale or trade besides just this Jeep you can view them all at http://Rapid-Sale.com
This is a unique Jeep CJ6 that is very rare and hard to find.
The CJ6 has a 20″ longer wheelbase than the standard Jeep.
There is still some work that needs to be done for this to be an everyday driver.
It has a 231 V6 in it with the oversized tires and wheels ready for off road.
The lights and winch have been removed and used on a different project.
The windshield costs $150 to replace and I am in the process of doing that for you.
I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
