This DJ-3A Convertible is #30 (SN #10030). It looks like they opted for a hardtop rather than a soft top. It’s been sitting in a barn for many years, but looks pretty stock. The jeep has a Sears Aluminum Deluxe top, so hopefully the floors are in good shape. You’ll see on the engine an original dry-type air filter. The engine compartment also has a washer bag, suggesting this has a windshield sprayer; I wonder if it was foot powered? t only has a single vacuum wiper (the passenger side is a hand wiper). It may make a great restoration project. The seller listed it on Facebook here:

1956 DJ-3A Smithfield, ME **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
Glenn’s selling his DJ-3A he named “Miss Willy”. Ann and I rode in it back in 2013, shortly before someone hit Glenn while driving it. Miss Willy was the 122nd one produced after our newest DJ-3A convertible “Paterson” (10366) and only 50 units before “Rusty” (10538). Like Paterson and Rusty, it too has the convertible body. Glenn’s hoping a DJ-3A lover will restore it.
“Miss Willy, a 2WD early production 2WD Jeep, was wrecked almost two years ago. Health issues have prevented me from rebuilding this California beauty. An almost perfect rust free body, nice floors and hat channels, a few scratches from flipping on its side, has frame, hood, windshield, fenders damage and probably some hidden problems. Brakes left 4 perfect skid marks in the wreck. Interior is usable and pretty. No Engine or Radiator included as I used them in another project. I shipped this from California awhile back so it’s an easy rebuild. Use your ideas and parts or I have a total of seven of these DJ3A’s to provide anything needed at extra cost. I can deliver this to you for reasonable cost as I’m going to The Great Willys Picnic in Kempton (Allentown) PA on June 11, 2017. The price is $2500 CASH. Open CA Title. Email for contact / details. Here’s wreck details from a favorite Willys Site:”

Runs. Based on the speedometer, I’d guess this is a 1957.
“Here is a neat old 1950 willys jeep that runs fine. 2-WHEEL DRIVE. No rust. Check the pictures. $4,500. FIRM.”
Sneak Peak @ “Patterson”?
This is going to be interesting. We are heading to Salt Lake on Thursday, then to California this weekend …. another adventure awaits. #AlaskaorRust
Year? DJ-3A Valley View, TX Estate Sale
Charles spotted this Surrey-like jeep. It looks to me like an early, basic DJ-3A to which someone added some surrey trimmings. No price or description provided, other than the seller describes it as a “1953”, which would be three years before the first DJ was introduced. Still, it looks like a fun rig to drive around town. It’s for sale the weekend of May 12-14.
2 DJ-3As Amelia, OH $1800
There are quite a few good parts here and the blue one runs.
“I have two Willys Jeeps for sale. Both for one price, will not separate. A 1962 DJ-3A & a 1965 DJ-3A. They are both restorable, but in rough condition. The 1965 (mostly blue) runs good an drives but is not complete. The 1962 (mostly green) has been sitting for
a long time and does not run but, it is complete except for the radiator, battery & tailgate. everything else is there and it rolls. These are Dispatcher Jeeps and are rear wheel drive. One is floor shift & the other is column shift. They are the old style flathead engines, flat hood & flat fenders.
If you want to build a Gala, or one of the other DJ models, This is all you need to start. I have clear titles for both.
Sadly, all glass has been broken out & there is a lot of rust. Check photos carefully. $1,800.00 cash, no trades, will not separate.”

“1964 Willys for sale. It has a chevy 350 engine in it. Here is the rundown. I have owned it as a project jeep for about 6 months. I overpaid for it (my fault), and paid $4,200 for it, I have put roughly $2,500 into it from parts and paying a buddy (mechanic) to help (not including my own time). I am selling it because I am trying to buy a plane ticket for my girlfriend to go to the East Coast to see her grandma one last time. So, basically I need the money. I am up front and honest about the condition of the Jeep. The good and the bad about it. Ill start with what I have done to it/what is good about the jeep. The jeep does run, and I would say it runs well, but obviously it is not a finished project.
