About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(11/25/2018) Charles has put his DJ-5 Safari-Kar on the market. It includes the original soft top.
“Fun Jeep,
for just cruising the beach, parades or going to get groceries .Doors are included.I would consider a trade for a small truck,VW bug or Jeep with manual transmission.
Jeep is a 1978 DJ-5
20,000 miles
automatic
232 straight 6
power steering
power brakes
runs excellent”
“Great running mail jeep comes with mail trail this is a 1971 right hand drive 2 wheel drive jeep. It has small transmission fluid leak around seal that I haven’t bothered to put a new gasket on but will if you want. Inspection is good until March very little rust. Serious people only please no tire kickers. Willing to take for a test drive if interested.”
“Good running 1974 Jeep DJ-5 258-I6, 2wd, RWD, automatic, new Raceline Wheels and Goodyear tires, recent tune up & wires, AMSOIL oil, new radiator & cooling system flushed, new brakes, new mirrors, newer shocks, has roll cage w/bimini top, hi back bucket seats, front & rear tow hooks, spare tire carrier w/spare tire, new gauges (fuel gauge not hooked up), wipers not hooked up.
This was professionally converted from ex-postal jeep by Safari-Kar to left hand drive back in the day by a California company. Has some rust from being in CA back in the day but just in the usual fender spots. I have a rear seat bracket, and the original directional steel aftermarket wheels that goes with.
Tony has this lefthand drive DJ-5 with a postal theme for sale.
“Selling some of my toys. While it is painted to look like a mail Jeep, it is not and was not used as postal vehicle. It is a LEFT hand drive model, not a right hand vehicle as all mail Jeeps were. I have had a few of these DJ5’s (DJ stands for Delivery Jeep, not a CJ which stands for Civilian Jeep) in the past and this is by far in the best condition. There was an extensive restoration done on this a few years ago by a previous owner and it looks great. It’s 43 year old driver. It has a 232 AMC 6 cal engine with a 3 speed automatic transmission. Manual steering and brakes but it steers and stops easily. All of these DJ5 models are 2 wheel drive, not 4wd. Some new and extra parts. I bought it this spring to play around for the summer and now it’s time for it to be enjoyed by someone else. Give me a call to learn more. I’m looking to sell it, not give it away”
“What an awesome little peice of history and still perfectly roadworthy. Just for fun, Gardening Jeep or if you have one of those awesome rural routes. Recent tune up and has successfully passed the Colorado Emmissions! we have had fun with it and now it is time to go to a new home. Call us if you are interested!”
“Runs great, you can drive it home, however it does have one leaking brake line. Has new starter, battery, alternator, gas tank, newer electronic ignition, and a power sun roof to go with it. Price is firm, please make no offers, im already losing money.”
“Posting for sale, ’73 AM General DJ5. Vehicle runs and drives but needs a new set of brakes and a battery. I do not have time for it anymore and need it sold. great hunting truck or a run-about on a farm. I will include two spare tires and fuel can. gauges are accurate. 55K miles. I am the third owner.”
