About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
If I’d only known . . . Apparently Ceclia Gomez operates a popcorn and cotton candy stand out of a pink DJ-5 near Sunset Park in Brooklyn (near 5th Avenue and 50th Street). My wife says that is a must stop on our next trip to New York!
These also usually have posi-traction inside the Dana 44.
“83 dj5 mail jeep. Runs and drives good. Has a 3″ lift, new mud grip tires. It is two wheel drive but does good in snow and ice. These jeeps come factory with Dana 44 rear ends. Has a 4 cyl. Motor and automatic. Have clean Texas title. Registered and inspected. Lots of fun.”

“This is a hand made Jeep themed bar, or service counter. The grille is a genuine Jeep part from a early 70’s mail truck. Its pretty much in same condition it was in when I found it. The bar framing is 1×4 and plywood.
The brick work is 2″ bead foam carved, sealed, and painted to look look like real brick. The bar top is reclaimed Red Oak and Cypress which has been sanded, sealed, and finished with 6 coats of water resistant poly clear coat. This is a unique 1 of a kind piece that you will not find at wal mart or Home Cheapo. This would be perfect in a Jeep lovers man cave, or as a service counter at an off road shop, or even a Jeep dealership.
Its 58″ long, 25″ deep, and 42.5″ tall weighs approx.75 lbs. This is a well made, sturdy piece that you will be proud to own. Can deliver in the Orlando area for small fee.

“Selling a route ready postal jeep. Right hand drive. Runs, drives and stops with no problems. 283 small block chevy with turbo 350 trans nicely done. Very clean, good tires, stereo and toyota heater. Reupholsered seat with heater.”
“1982 Classic Mail Jeep. Model DJ-5L, Delivery Jeep. Once an official postal delivery truck. Equipped with steering on the right-hand side. One seat and lots of room for hauling. Locks up nicely.
This is a practical and fun vehicle! Starts good and runs good. The 4 cylinder engine is very sound and strong. Clean carburetor. Not bad on gas. Also has a good transmission system (automatic). 2 Wheel Rear Wheel Drive. Has many new parts installed still under warranty including: Alternator, Starter, Battery, Coil Pack, and Headlights. It also has a new Ignition Switch, new Spark Plugs, and new flashers. All lights and turn signals work great. Good heater. Brakes were recently redone. Tires decent.
Some things on this vehicle still need repair. Needs body work. Needs a wiper motor, needs a speedometer/odometer cable, and needs a floating sensor for the gas tank. Needs a new gas tank (the current tank holds gas but has a hole in the top part). The interior could use a little care; for example the seat is worn out and there’s a rust hole (2in. diameter) on the driver’s side wheel well. The body shows some rust, especially in the rear underneath. All original parts for this vehicle are available at PostalJeep.net.
Simple vehicle, easy to work on, enjoyable to drive, plenty of clearance for crawling underneath. Original mail tray, original key, original drivers manual included. Call 859-756-4191”
“Purchased for Mail route and everything if fully operational. 2 new tires on front with 2 studded snow tires for winter use. We are upgrading vehicle for the comfort of the wife, when mom is happy everyone is happy. Also new battery, fuel sending unit and all breaks rebuilt with new calipers and shoes. Ask any questions….I have invested $1250 and this is what I would like.”
This looks in good condition, but those front spring hangers are LONG.
“Up for sale is a 1983 postal jeep DJ-5. Under the hood is a famous 2.5L GM “Iron Duke” engine. The entire exterior of the jeep has been bedlined and painted. 3-4″ lift. 31″ tires. Runs and drives great. Still have original mail tray and doors. It is an automatic transmission and 2wd. Text or call Jake at 4o4-61o-9851 or respond by email.”
“1974 AMC Jeep DJ-5C Mail Jeep
Used for mail delivery for 2 years but got a newer one and it’s been sitting for about 2 years.
Features:
New Radiator
New Water Pump
New Alternator
New head Gasket Set about 6 months before parking it
Transmission rebuilt by Aamco about 1 year before parking it
Good tires
All lights work including flasher mail sign on top
Heater works great!
Right hand drive
back door for easy mail & package packing
has mail platform on left side for stacking mail trays
has plenty of room even during Christmas season!
Body is in fair condition.
It comes with a floor pan for drivers side, I just never had time to weld it in.
It also comes with a new windshield and gasket that I never got around to installing.
It also comes with a new set of brake shoes… front or back.
Previous owner lost door keys so pad locks were installed to secure the mail.
It needs a drivers side window, wheel cylinders and master cylinder. BRAKES need to be repaired before driving home or you can tow it home.
Great for rural mail routes. Might be a nice alternative to a golf cart for camp/hunting grounds or farm.”
