Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1976 mail jeep, 2 WHEEL DRIVE 6 cylinder that runs, some new parts ….new water pump, new starter, new electronic distributor with wires, ignition switch, fuel pump, the bad is fuel gauge and temp gauge don’t work, brakes need work, it is squirrely on the road. Tires are good, all lights ,signals work make a fun toy on the farm…bring trailer ;; have title”

“Finally upgraded. 1977 jeep dj-5 Have been delivering mail for 7 years as a RCA until 2/28/2014 in this jeep. Less than 5000 miles on new {not used} 232 6 cylinder engine, Last week had the rear end completele redone including new axle bearings and wheel cylinders, also new front drums, brakes and wheel cylinders and front tires and both front leaf springs were just replaced. also has new tranny cooler. Ready to work mail tray included. also have spare NEW drivers seat. 2 wheel drive.”

“Selling my Postal Jeep. Still has the original stickers United States Post Office as well. It is a right hand drive 2 wheel drive automatic transmission. The interior is in excellent condition, has original mail pans to. New tires and rims, I have original tires and rims to sell with it also if wanted. This appears in good shape.
“1975 post office jeep, with right hand drive. 6 cyl, auto. Good glass all he way around, lights and wipers work. Has 2 seats, with seatbelts. I drive this jeep daily to work. Carb rebuilt a month ago. brake hydraulics rebuilt or replaced all the way around. Manual brakes and manual steering. Will consider trade for an older Jeep. CJ-2 or CJ-3. Call after 4. Text anytime.”

(02/26/2014) “1973 Hot Rod Mail Jeep Mopar 360 V/8 Fun Toy Sharp
This is a great running and looking custom Jeep Toy.
All fiberglass body with flip up front.
360 Mopar motor with 727 torqueflite automatic transmission.
Air shocks all the way around.
Sunpro gauges, Lockair shifter.
Complete new brake system including master cylinder wheel cylinders and shoes.Fun to drive, this would make a great attention getter in front of a business as well.
It’s right hand drive and would be funny to put a fake scary or goofy driver on the left side.”
This has an interesting history. I’m not sure how it ended up with a Nevada title though.
“I can’t find any information on this Jeep. It has the Willys Hurricane 2.2 L W/2 speed powerglide automatic. I purchased this jeep many years ago and was told by the previous owner that it was a security vehicle for the university of Washington. Body is great. It needs a total restore. All original except the seats. Has not been started in years. I was going to restore for my gran daughter . But ran out of energy. I don’t know the value of it, so i’m taking offers. Have clean Navada title.”

Runs and drives, but has an unusual front.
“I have a 1977 Jeep. It has an all fiberglass body. That’s nice so it never rusts. It has a good running 4cyl. Ford engine. The transmission is an automatic with overdrive. It runs and drives great. Its not 4 wheel drive but it has a posi rearend. The steering wheel is on the right side.”
