Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This quad-fold 1982 San Juan Scenic Jeep Tour brochure shows two newer jeeps with rear seating like the FC-tour jeeps, along with one vintage chopped wagon.

This testimonial comes from a cemetery in Springfield, Massachusetts, that espouses the lawn-friendliness of the jeep.
Marcelo Boni assembled a series of images that separate rear PTO gearboxes into eight types. 1) I didn’t know there were that many and 2) I never thought to do this. Unfortunately, this is currently on Facebook, so not everyone will likely see it.

I started gathering pictures of Rear PTO gearboxes. I was expecting to identify the box period correct for my 1952 CJ3A.
I found 8 different variations.
Early ones are 24/20 tooth configuration.
When does the tooth config have changed to 22/22?”
If anyone knows the answer to that questions, I’ll make sure he gets the info.
These are scans I made of a reader’s Texaco lubrication charts years ago. The first one is for the CJ-2A and CJ-3A. The second one is for the 4WD Truck.
UPDATE: I just purchased a set of these off of eBay. The box has a little tear, but the pen and pencil are in good shape.

Mike shared this September 6, 1957, announcement sent to all dealers about the new Eversharp ‘Jeep’ pens, pencils and sets, now available with the Forward Control ‘Jeep’ FC-170 illustration.
Toby purchased a 1966 CJ-5 from an original owner and found this letter inside the owners manual. Note the last paragraph (no coverage for squeak and rattles, lol).
