Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Two Items for Sale:
1. The first is an L 4-134 Motor Block which was running fine in my 1946 CJ2a. The original motor that came with the Jeep has been rebuilt and I’m putting it back in. $400
2. The second is a T 90 Transmission with bell housing. Transfer case and E Brake Mount are attached. Came as a spare with the 1946 CJ2a. Levers all move in and out of position. $150
There may be some useful parts from this engine. It was probably a generator or welder engine.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500.
“Old flathead military 4 cyl. Jeep engine. Has Willis on the cylinder head. Pistons have std. on them. I don’t know the running condition as I had it for a spare for my GPW Jeep. 500.00.”
They had me at flathead with a turbo. We need some pics and specs regarding this unusual mod.

Gary has his recently rebuilt engine & bellhousing for sale. He’s moving up to a V6 in his CJ-5.
“The 134F head I have in my Jeep is for sale. I have all the receipts for the engine kit, crankshaft etc. It will come complete with a GM 12 volt alternator, bellhousing with new clutch and pressure plate, factory exhaust from front to back, and I just had the original carb rebuilt by Guaranteed carburetors. It has the electric ignition that looks like the original. It is in the jeep and anyone interested can crank run/drive etc. The mileage on the engine is 2,600 miles. I am asking $1400 dollars. I would like to sell prior to taking out, that way someone knows what they are getting.”

“Up for sale is a Buick Odd Fire v6 from a 1966-1971 Jeep cj5 Engine ran when removed but does need an overhaul. The engine is complete…..also included is the manual trans bellhousing, fenderwell Headman headers flywheel, HEI distruibutor.

“I have (2) Buick 3.8 rear wheel drive engines that I was told that ran good, one is in a Jeep project I bought and the other is a spare that came with it. both are complete engines. I preffer a different engine is why I want to sell them or maybe trade for something for a Jeep CJ, maybe a decent sized air compressor etc,,,, really preffer cash.
