This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Does not run, however I believe the timing chain has jumped a tooth and have had the time to change it.”

“FC jeep chassis. Frame, 4 cyl jeep gas engine, transmission, transfer case, axles. Was running when parked. First picture is for reference only. This is only the frame, engine, drive train, no body components. I can load on your trailer. It is sitting on a four wheel running gear.”

Has SB Chevy installed, not running.
All drive train in bed. Has factory OD.
No rust in cab, floors, windshield, A pillar, rear corners, door bottoms, door hinges Etc.
Surface rust on cab roof but no pitting. No rust falling out anywhere.
Always a CA truck.
Heater. Still has Trim tag on chassis plate.
Bed rails are straight as an arrow.
CA title.
Great start for your project.
No place to store this and I already have two corvette projects going in the garage.
Will take and send pictures as requested.

“This is a rare mostly complete and original project truck that runs, drives and stops. This forward control jeep has a 6 cylinder super hurricane flathead. I believe a t90 3 speed trans and of course all the 4×4 parts. I do have cab motor covers and seats (not matching).

UPDATE: As Lew notes, there’s an FC-150 in the latter half of the video. It also has a different license plate (white) than the FC-170 (blue plate) shown near the beginning.
Steve pointed me to his video. It shows a family picking up an FC-170 from the factory. Pretty cool memory!

It’s a project.
“Really cool project pick up truck. Rare vehicle that was the first that was rated to tow more than it’s own weight.
This vehicle is almost complete but needs full restoration.The windshield is missing and there is no bed. Has all the drivetrain componants and the cab has other parts inside. Also comes with manual and additional info.”
