This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (01/27/2011) The passenger side doesn’t look all that rusty. It runs, though no word on whether it stops.

It doesn’t run.
Just 1,519 Jeep FC’s 170’s were built in this configuration in 1958. This is a very original truck down to the Montgomery Ward’s brand tires that have been holding air continuously for the 20 years this truck has been in the family. The only non-original feature is that it has been converted to 12volt, but 6 volt components are included to convert it back. It has been stored in doors since 1994. We have had it running some years ago and the engine is not stuck. But… it is one of those projects that we just haven’t found the time for and it deserves to be passed on to someone that will fix her up and show off this rare, collectible truck. It does have some rust, but it is vey repairable and the windshield IS NOT cracked.”

(12/08/2012) I don’t have a manual in front of me, but I’m pretty sure the radiator mounts in a slightly different spot.

The Jeep does run, plow works nicely and it has a crane jack on the back. The Jeep can be sold with or without the plow and crane.”

“I have a 1956 FC-170 Forward Control Willys Jeep with a flat bed. It is 4 wheel drive with a 6 cylinder engine. The engine is not running, something is broke inside. It only turns over so far and stops. I’m asking $750.00 or OBO. I have the title to it.”

“For sale or trade is a 196 ??? Willys Jeep FC150 Cab Forward pickup. Not sure the exact year, title is in safe deposit box, and will have to get. The Transmission was taken out prior to my buying it, unknown why possibly clutch ??? Trans is in the back. I have not had this vehicle running. The windows are out, and I have them.
