JeepKing Hardtops

Another interesting item in the 1957 Berg’s Truck and Parts Co (Aka the King of Jeeps) Catalog was this “Jeep King” hardtop advertisement, for both half and full-size tops. It looks like it’s a private branding of the Beck (or Kemco) Jeep Cabs, because the door has the split window. As far as I know, that wasn’t available on the Kelly hardtops manufactured by Kelly Manufacturing (which is the company Kemco became). Also, the Kemco had the small window on the half cab, as does the Jeepking half cab.

Ford GP at the Military Air Museum in Pungo, VA

John stopped by the Military Air Museum in Pungo, Virginia, the other day. There he found this nicely restored Ford GP. I asked him how he liked the museum. HIs response was,

Dave, The whole facility is extraordinary! Two surprises, 1) a hanger from Cottbus, Germany, was found intact but damaged. The guy bought it, had it disassembled, shipped to the states and restored and reassembled. Every thing inside is German with one Italian with some of the stuff experimental.
2) Same for a British control tower, every brick was shipped here, rebuilt, and what was broken or missing was replaced from Britain, not the States.

The “K” Style Flanges from The King of Jeeps

I purchased a 1957 Berg’s Truck and Parts Co (Aka the King of Jeeps) Catalog off of eBay. It included this flyer for a set of hubs I’ve never seen. Anyone ever run across these? (You can compare them to other flanges/summer hubs here: http://www.ewillys.com/2017/01/09/warns-summer-hubs/)
