Photos of Shriner CJ-2A Parade Jeep Truck **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Features, Old Images • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.

There are four different 2×2 negatives of this jeep from similar angles.

“Original Photo Negative from the Tulsa, OK area from the 1950’s. There was no information about the photographer, I figured out the location and era based on information in the images of the set I am listing together (Car tags and signs and recognizable landmarks) I have “inverted” the image, so you can see what a print will look like. The quality is fair to good, having some graininess. This is a good quality, albeit amateur image.”

Humboldt Junkies Willys Truck

Blaine shared an ad for the Humbolt Junkies Flat Market & Vintage Trailer Rally that includes a Willys Truck. So, I began searching ….

Here’s the main trailer rally website, one that includes the below graphic.

And, then there’s this ad:

Looks like they have a Women’s shirt for $20:

And finally, after multiple searches, I found the actual jeep truck:

The McKay Brothers

• CATEGORIES: Features This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Just a few updates tonight….

I drove up to Sandpoint, Idaho, today to meet with the McKay brothers, aka Minnesota Chris and Idaho Todd. I had a great time with them last year and was looking forward to another visit.

I once again met them at Todd’s business, Big Lake Recreation. We went to lunch (a delicious burrito at Joel’s), then went to see Todd’s newest Tux. In the picture below, you can’t see them, but those two guys are under the blue Tux discussing some finer points of PTOs. I’m pretty sure they forgot all about me. Or maybe I was supposed to join them?

About that time I remembered I hadn’t been taking pictures, so I took the one below. Then, I too fell under the jeep spell and managed to forget taking another photo over the remainder of our time together. Though I didn’t get any more photos, I did get some good parts from Chris. So, thanks go to Todd and Chris for the great afternoon!

Speaking of Chris, he’ll be heading East to Minnesota in a few days. If you need anything transported, contact him at nscustoms@hotmail.com or through his Vintage Willys Parts Page on Facebook and maybe he can help you.

Camping This Weekend

• CATEGORIES: Features This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

There will be limited posts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for sure and maybe Monday. We are camping as part of a wedding in the hills of Eastern Oregon near this location and my mobile broadband wireless hotspot isn’t working well at all. Even my phone calls aren’t working well. At least it is beautiful up here … except for the rain.
