Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This 1955 Toledo Blade article shares the news that jeeps were being sent to Mexico to fight Malaria. Looks like that’s a CJ-3B.
This jeep simulates a tear gas attack.
“1942- Officers and men at Geiger Field are taught to be on the alert for a gas attack at any time. This modified Willys jeep appears at unexpected places and sends out a charge of tear gas from the ingenious device attached to the muffler.”
