UPDATE: The GPW was reconditioned by Bechtel. It was listed at $7000 earlier this year. There also appears to be an early MB No-Glove-Box body.
(05/11/2013) “i have a complete ford 1942 ww2 jeep it is complete minus top and back seat i have done alot of research it all checks out the classic F marks are everywhere including most of the bolts the motor has the correct GPW# anf the F on the head air cleaner is early model it seems to be just as the bethal co.refurbished it after the war in 1945 all the data plates are original it has been taged and reg. for over 65 years.i have just been cleaning and stripping old paint to find all the F marks and bolts it runs and drives i will consider serious offers as is for the next 2 weeks then i will do a frame off restoration,PLEASE DONT BOTHER WAISTING TIME.if u dont know the value look it up. (09/18/2013) This stock looking GPW has some mods, including being lengthened. It appears sound.

4.3 EFI V-6 w/5 spd trans.
30/44 3.73:1 axles, posi rear, front pig to right side.
Frame/body stretched 6 inches.
Many new parts, new Cooper 31×10.50s.
Iroc Z steering box, DJ column
Manual 11-inch drum brakes
No parking brake cable, no windshield wipers.
Many storage boxes. Sluggish to start, runs great. Leaky fretted hole in Modine radiator.”

Tub has rust and somone cut out the inner wheel wells in the rear. No seats . Needs new glass in the windshield.”
