About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Timberwolf sent over their GPWs that are up for Auction on BAT.
INFORMATION FROM SELLER:
These two consecutive-serial-number 1942 Ford GPWs, chassis 712 and 713, are very early production (VEP) examples that are said to be among the approximately 2,000 built with Willys-style frames. The seller acquired the pair in 1997. Both trucks are finished in olive drab over matching canvas upholstery, and power for each is provided by a replacement flathead inline-four paired with a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. They underwent separate refurbishments under current ownership; GPW-713 was restored in the late 1990s, while GPW-712 was refurbished in the early 2020s with metal repairs to the body and frame. Equipment shared between the two includes 16″ steel wheels, folding windshields, Ford-script rear panels, and blackout lighting. These two GPWs are now offered as a pair in Shelby, North Carolina, with replacement windshield glass for GPW-712 and clean North Carolina titles in the seller’s name

Here are some BAT Willys Auctions that took place over the past few months. I think it’s good to keep an eye on the Market some folks are on top of this much more then I am, but I think its good to share a pic and some results, I left out some so head over and check out all the details on these.
Auctions can often miss classify the rig, so these are their names and years, good or bad.
Here are some Willys that have passed over the block at BAT recently.
Bring A Trailer Auction of a great Willys Maverick, remember they did not go to the Bullet Trim to later in the run and the first 100 had the special badge, this is shown as 10033 so it should be an early one. The data plate is a little bent up IMO, there will be other areas to confirm the Serial Number on the rig, buyers are always urged to do your best due diligence.
Has the special badge for the approximate first 100 Mavericks.
Mavericks are pretty neat rigs, 2WD, F-134, Special Trim around the cowl and windows, carpet inside vs the wood slats, special treatments.
I did not read the whole ad, but its missing the Radio, maybe it’s included.
Missing the 67 year old Captive Air Goodyears, but I guess we can give them a pass on those, they had a special inner liner like a run flat, pretty neat stuff for 1958.
Very nicey done, to a high standard.
OD and the sort, just all around hope it does well for the seller.
To be fair it will need some small cleanup and to pick on it a bit, why not, the white walls are not super white, there are some areas under neath that need to be touched up, good projects to really make it your own and become the next care taker of this one.
Good Luck with the sale!
Information from seller:
This 1958 Willys Jeep is a Maverick Special station wagon that was acquired by the seller’s father-in-law in 1998. Refurbishment work was subsequently performed, and the wagon is finished in two-tone green over a coordinated interior. Power is provided by a 134ci Hurricane inline-four that is linked to a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. Features include 15″ painted wheels, chrome bumpers, a split rear tailgate, and a one-piece windshield in addition to split bench seats, sliding side windows, and a spare tire mounted in the rear cargo area. This Maverick Special is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner wth a clean California title describing the vehicle as a 1959 model year.
Here are some great links, I cant harvest all these photos they typically are in what’s formatted as WEBP and the are wonderful space saving files that don’t work with the site. To crop and save, or even use Photoshop mass change to a useable format. But I have looked over these and there is some great stuff here.
My notes if any will be in Italics followed by Andy’s info from his email to me.
Bangor, PA CJ parts rig off the road 100yd, Currently @ $1 ends > 12/7/2025
Good size estate Auction, I live not too far from here on the NJ side, we just got 4” of fresh snow, so this will be some work, but there is an Overdrive and some other parts here for sure. I have no space we are in Winter mode here and the place is cleaned up and things put away for the Winter. But someone will be getting a deal here and can make a few Willys Bucks on this one, even with a 23% Buyers Fee.
Pickup with the W-O grille guard. I know I’ve seen that item in the approved add-on brochures, but have only seen one other truck on the net with it.

This is an extreme Easter Egg Hunt on this one, I actually stopped at 289, its very broken up in a bunch of lots!
But don’t overlook this Auction, there is a ton of parts here for an Early Truck, the stakebed side are legit Willys. Early 2 pc front seat, might be parts of a second one there. The V6 is awesome, this would be a great package if you can score all the parts and pieces, its just so broken up because its all over the floor.
Andy did a lot of the leg work, but there honestly is probably more of the rig in other containers on the floor.
Here is a basketcase early stakebed pickup with a Buick V6 and front pto winch on HiBid:
“The Klairmont Kollections Automotive Museum in Chicago announced that it is permanently closing its doors, also confirming that the entire collection of vintage and classic cars will go up for auction this September without reserve.”
All of these vehicles appear to be in top cosmetic condition, but (as with any museum vehicle) they will likely require some (possibly significant) work prior to being road worthy.
Or you could simply buy them all, and start your own Jeep Museum!
Here’s a link to the entire auction catalog if you’d like to browse the other cars and memorabilia being auctioned:
This is an interesting one – listed as a 1953, with potentially a Navy history (given the data plate). From an estate, but is running (supposedly a daily driver). Looks to have a later F-head engine swap (?)
Interesting hard top, maybe a winch, tire chains, tow bar, etc. – lots of potential goodies here. Will be interesting to watch this auction to see how much this goes for…
Video available on auction site as well (and seems to run quite well.)
Another large Auction of some Jeep and Farm equipment and lots of smalls as well located out in Napoleon, OH.
Online Auction but…. There are some neat items listed and if you are in the area or are looking to make a road trip, might be worth a look at some of this.
This is an estate sale of Herbert Huddle who passed away back in Feb, doing some research he had a large family and did a lot for his Church. He worked at IH and Campbell Soups, held some patents which sounds like a cool machine to sort jumbled cans into a straight line, would be cool to see that in action. Really sounds like a neat guy. Prayers to his family and those who knew him.
Here is a snap shot of some of the items listed and I will work on getting these all sorted.
It was cool to see the personalized plates for the rigs these are really neat Jeeps and I did not even look at the tractors. “Restored and Owned by Herb and Betty Huddle”. Those are cool pieces reminds me of the personalized plates that you guys helped the grandkids find last month!
I will say there is a certain photo type most Auction houses use since the sites are just so photo intensive that our site does not support, so they have to be converted, its just a few clicks to convert but its time really, probably will take be a good solid hour to do most of that work and time can be hard to get that dedicated file convert process going. Gotta get locked in for that event. I did it with the large FC Auction, it works out in the end. I struggled with this post going on third attempt to get it all sorted, it’s information overload, some technical issues with the computer in general. But I feel I got it sorted out to a pretty basic layout for now and got my conversion from WEBP to JPG down yet to be seen at scale. No complaints just when folks don’t see posts it’s not because we are not working on posts.
rare column shift, w/flat belly pulley, restored, new odometer, runs & drives, new battery
