“1942 VEP GPW 5571942 Ford GPW Serial Number 557, Date of Delivery 2/26/42. Valid Texas Title in my name. This is one of the first of the 8000 jeeps built by Ford built on a Willys frame. Produced in the Dallas Ford Plant on the 10th day Ford started producing jeeps. This is a rare jeep that is in good shape for the age with allot of original hard to find parts. Frame and Data Plate serial numbers match. Engine is a replacement willys engine rebuilt by the previous owner.
This jeep needs a full restoration. This jeep as been taken apart. I assembled it for ease of shipping. Frame – Willys Frame Stamped GPW-557. Front and Rear frame horns will need repaired, Front crossmember will most likely need replaced. Otherwise very straight.
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $17,500.
Over all this jeep looks solid, but will need the brakes bled. Body has a few age marks (note the driver’s side inner cowl support).
“1943 Ford gpw Ww2 Jeep for sale. Serial number 162829. Vehicle is in good overall condition and period correct. It had a frame on preservation in the 90’s. It was last used in 2016 and parked. I’ve recently got it running again and replaced the following – fuel tank, 6v battery, plugs, coil, condenser, wires, and battery. It could use a tune up and driving. The brakes were replaced but need to be bleed from sitting. Wiring all is in very nice condition. It has a 30 cal dummy gun with a cradle and original mount. I have a beachwood canvas top and windshield cover that come with the Jeep. If your not interested in the cradle/mount/and 30 I can remove it and sell the Jeep for 16500.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,000.

“This is a Ford GPW made in World War II for the U.S. military. An excellent condition jeep. It has a reproduction body, hood, grill, fenders, seats and canvas, tires and combat rims. But the frame, engine and many other parts are original and restored. The paint color and markings are for the USMC used in World War II. NO TITLE. Bill of Sale only.”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $15,500
(09/22/2020) Not quite all restored, as the data plates have paint on them a few other issues.
“This authentic well-kept piece of history can be yours. This 1942 WWII Willy CJ Ford Jeep is a classic and has been restored and garaged for the past 20 years. Runs great, the Willy straight four engine was completely overhauled, like new, full canvas package, full set of manuals and maintenance guides and receipts. To the best research I have been able to do, this jeep was used here in Sunriver, Bend at Camp Abbott 1942-1944. Lots of fun to drive and has been entered in several military vehicle displays and parades.”
This GPW with a body lift also includes a trailer.

“This is a 1943 Ford GPW. Ford made about 2 out of ever 5 Jeeps during World War 2. This jeep is about 90-95% original and is ready to be restored. It still has the original Go-Devil 4 cylinder engine. Three of the rims are the 2 piece battle rims. The body is decent. This jeep ran when it was parked some 15 years ago. Also included is a 1942 Willy’s jeep trailer. I’m putting this out there to see what kind of interest there is. If you do not like my asking price make me an offer.”
Not sure how much value is here.
