“1942 Ford GPW Serial Number 8727, DOD 3-19-42. Early Script GPW with flat top grill. Has the first Ford frame with squared front frame horns that are in very good condition. GPW Engine Serial number GPW 12436 stuck and need rebuilding. The Jeep is title is under then engine #. The jeep has a fully transferable Bonded Title in my name. This GPW will need a full restoration has rust in typical areas like the shovel/axe area, fuel tank sump and on the passenger side step. Floors only have a couple of spots of rust through but have a significant amount of pitting. I’m not sure if that can be repaired. Surprisingly the hat channels are solid. The frame is straight but has rust through in 3 spots that will need to be repaired. “I have what is titled as a 1947 Ford GPW. This Jeep has sat for the last 10 years. It was reported as having the transmission quit, the motor turns but the carb needs rebuilt/ replaced. This is a Las Vegas Jeep and has only minor rust. I started to tear down this project but life has gotten in the way. I was going to restore this back to it’s former glory! I have many of the needed parts to get this back on the road.”

This GPW was supposedly found in Tunisia and restored in Italy. It will go up for auction in Germany (if I understand correctly) March 26-27.

“1945 Ford GPW Jeep made for WW2 multiple “F” stamped bolts, tool boxes. Awesome project. Has a running Buick V6 engine in it. Runs and Drives . Brand new brakes all around , new master cylinder. Warren overdrive. 4×4 high and low work perfectly. Comes with trailer to tow it .”
