This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This GPW Runs and drives but the up-keep was done by folks that fixed things with whatever was available. No doubt they were innovators but not mechanics. The motor needs a rebuild; the floor, although will work for some, needs some new sheet metal. The mechanicals need gone through. It is mostly original 1945 vintage parts.”

“1945 Ford GPW #267700 matching numbers on frame and body. Motor runs but needs rebuilt. Body work has been done on this over the years, floor redone but not right, some bondo in cowl on the passenger side and over rear wheel well on passenger’s side. It’s a ten footer! By no means is this a pile of junk but I just want anyone interested to know the facts about it. I am pulling the engine next week and the price will go up accordingly. Look at E-Willys or any of the military jeep for sale sites and you will see what a really nice one goes for.With new floor panels, new rear fender wells and the motor rebuilt and the major work is done. I will pull the body off after the motor is rebuilt and do the floor and rear fender wells again the price will reflect the repairs as I go through it.”

This seems to be a mix of a GPW chassis and a VEC CJ-2A body.

Has a V-6 and some other mods. It appears to have a GPW crossmember.

“For sale is this 1942 Willys jeep. This was inherited in a trust and I don’t have the time or space to bring it up to its full potential. these things are valued at $20,000 and even higher when fully restored. This one has a Buick v-6 engine, 4wd manual transmission. Sat in storage for 10 or more years, and now it’s time for the right person to put the rubber back on the road. asking $3000 but open for all offers. Must sell before property sells so bring offers to the table.”
Barry went on a recent trip to Torino, Italy. There, he visited Italy’s National Auto Museum, where he spotted this Ford GPW. It was only one of three US vehicles in the museum.
He added, “Jeep is a big name in Italy since acquired by Fiat. From the marker it looks like they are trying to associate this with the modern “Jeep” name. Excellent display of over 200 European autos dating back to the late 1800’s”

Seller notes the price is negotiable. Found a pic for it. Windshield looks like it is completely vertical.
“1942 GPW Jeep. Previously owned by Howard Pardue, collector of WW2 War Birds. Jeep has new tires, new seats, all new gaskets, seals, and rubber moldings. Converted to 12 volt. Excellent running condition. Has a clean title. Price is negotiable.”

(10/23/2018) Has EasyLok hubs. It runs.
“Selling my 1943 Willy’s MB. Runs and drives. Have a clean Oregon title in hand. Needs a new 6V battery. Comes with everything needed to do a 4wheel disc brake conversion. Been in the rogue valley since the 50’s. Recovered the original WW2 numbers off the hood. Does have a later model pushrod engine in it. That’s why there is a good scoop on it.”
It appears to have a replacement body.
