Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Sebastian spotted the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, driving this CJ-3A today in El Tiempo.
The July 1956 Popular Science article doesn’t indicate which country ordered this special search light, but this mobile, self-contained spotlight put out some serious light.

Sebastian’s dad, always on alert for jeep stuff in Colombia, emailed this picture while the site was down. You might remember this coffee jeep from Colombia.
Sebastian added some notes for us:
“– The coffee sign, the wrong spelling in English and really no meaning in Spanish (it should be café)
– The top white sign saying “minutos” which means cell phone minutes. You basically pay a fee and you can use their cell phone for a call. Look the lady using the phone for a call.
– Middle white sign which offers “Mazamorra”, a local dish that not everyone dares to try. Not that easy to find these days, and not really recommended if you have an afternoon full of things to do, most likely you will need a long nap after eating that.
– Bottom sing “arroz con leche” which means rice pudding, sweetened to perfection.
It can not be more Colombian than this!”

This jeep has a variety of CJ-5 aspects, but was supposedly sent to Sweden for use by their military.

I liked that the jeep fire truck and the cargo personnel carrier showed up in the ad. They are pretty rare to see in ads.

“original color folder , 5.5 x 8 folded , 16.5 x 8 unfolded . This is the first brochure printed on the Campagnola . It also shows a map from Algeria to Cape Town of a record run in Africa by the Campagnola.”
This is a vintage model that is motorized and needs assembly.
“Up for sale is a Pop up Jeep “Deko” Motorized Model Kit – 1/24 scale made by NITTO in JAPAN. This is a very rare vintage model and is very collectible. Box is open, but is in the original box and is not assembled and looks to include all the parts as well as the Instruction Sheet and the decals.”

“This car has never been restored since WW2, and in Italy is well known like to be the best example existing since the first ’50, there is also a car magazine that show this car for sale in 1968.Very original car and very nice body, never demaged, the car belonged to a FJ division and was founded in 1945 near Po river.
