(05/08/2012) I’d like a closer look at the dash and gauges.  Maybe the air ride doubles as an emergency/parking brake?

“0ne of a kind 1959 Jeep Willys wagon woodie rat rod / street rod. This is a show stopper. Gets A LOT of attention. May take partial trade with a lot of cash. Also would like to trade for nice pull behind camper 25-31 foot and cash. Here is a list of mods.

Top chopped 7 in.
Sectioned 6 in.
Wheelwells moved back 6 in.
rear of body widened 3 in at wheelwells
Channeled 7 in. with custom floor
Windshield lowered into cowl 3 in.
Modified factory grill shell
Body was custom painted to give that patina/weathered look.
Pinstriped by HIVOLTS out of Roanoke
sitting on air ride 1982 s-10 chassis
350 engine

It’s got a Willys Truck cab.

“This truck is a everyday driver if you want it to be.it is a lot of fun and a blast to drive.i traded my harley for this a couple weeks ago and now need to sell it to buy my 17 year old daughter a first car.i may trade this for a good clean,lower milage(less than 150k) car or small sub.it needs to be 2000-up and a automatic.may also trade for another classic car or hot rod,rat rod but must be pre 1972.i like all brands,models and years so send me some pics via tex.now lets talk about the truck.It is a 1953 willys pick-up cab,1941 international rear fenders,1959 volkswagon bug front fenders and all on a injected s-10 frame and drivetrain.i was going to put a small block and turbo 350 in it.we all know that they make small block mounts designed for the s-10 frame.the truck has led brake lights,power brakes,a very kool interior and much more.please understand that this is a rat rod and although it is put together very well it does squeak or rattle a little but its better than a lot I’ve seen.i have a piece of lexan to replace the red one in the back glass.nice wheels and tires are brand new with 50 miles on them.the chopped top looks kool and the body drop is right on time.”

There is still a little work to be done on this project.

“1942 willys mb jeep ratrod.
runs good, unique has chevy small block, turbo 350, ford 9″ rearend, 1952 chevy drop axle front
bagged all around. lost interest in it, looking for something new.
the jeep is 98% done and drive able. it needs a new air compressor, valves for bags, and trans cooler, and a set of seats.
there is no registration on this jeep yet, i have pinkslip but haven’t done anything with it.
air system works but everything works slow. this jeep is fast, but cramped inside.
2500 obo open to trades or offers. thanks mike.”

This truck has quite the patina.  It gets 28 mpg on the highway?

“This is my baby, built with my own blood and sweat! ONE OF A KIND! Chopped 8 inches, bagged and lays frame, custom front axle, 31spline ford nine inch rear axle. Four link in the rear, three link I the front. Ford 300 ci straight six, four barrel carb , hooker six into two supercomp header, five speed trans, gets 28 mpg on the freeway.”

This looks well done.  Just avoid large bumps.
