“Summer is coming! My wife and I have decided to sell our 1969 Jeepster Commando. This cool off-road convertible is fairly stock with a little over 76k on the odometer. It is registered and the original Dauntless 225 V6 hums along quietly when we take her to town on nice sunny days. Please note that I would not consider this fun old jeep as a candidate for a showroom quality restoration since it has nearly half a century of scratches, dings and dents from doing what jeeps do best. I believe it was used as a hunting rig for a few decades. The floor pans were replaced a long time ago and are still rock solid. Like any old jeep, it needs someone who will maintain it and can give it a little TLC when needed.
This sale also includes the following items:
– Full set of all-terrain tires with tons of tread (see Picture)
– A rear seat in good condition ( I believe from an early CJ)
– Full size spare
– 4 sets of tire chains
– An original Jeepster hardtop (in rough condition).
– Rochester Shop Manual
– Original Title from the original owners.
– Some other spare engine and transmission parts including an old Cobra 29 CB and Antenna.
Here is a really great Petrolicious video on an awesome example of a Dauntless 225 Jeepster as a daily driver: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTc70-1cYQk
I am asking the reasonable price of $3,600 obo. Please, no low ballers or tire kickers. If this post is still up then it is still available. Also, it is worth mentioning that the Jeepster Club of America will be holding their 50th Anniversary jamboree later this month. ”

(11/23/2016) “1950 Willys Jeepster. Must have been a left over 1949 titled as a 1950. 1950 title but has dash and front end like a 1949. This car came from the original owner. This was a body off work. All work was done on a rotesory. All paint was stripped to bare metal. Pictures are available that document the whole process. All rust was removed and replaced with metal. The windshield has been chopped three inches. The floor pan was removed and replaced with an Ford Escort floor pan. The escort bucket seats were recovered and the console and floor shifter are from the Escort. It has a rebuilt Ford 200 cu inch 6 cylinder with a c5 transmission and a ford 8 inch rear end. Aluminum radiator with electric fan. New gas tank and lines. New brake lines. New bumpers. All new wiring with Painless fuse panel.. This is a fun car to drive and is a real attention getter. We have more comments with this car than any we have ever owned. Great driver, runs great.”
