About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“one of only 5,836 ever produced—It was the model they used for the cover of their sales brochure that year–to prove that I have the original Sales Brochure and Owners Manual for the car—total restoration and is in ‘turn key’ condition call 561-586-7777”
“Survivor – except original engine/transmission…and everything under the hood lost! Original seats (black) in good condition, smooth, comfortable, no tears, no bumps. Side curtains are clear and in good condition. Top in good condition, too – one snap missing, IIRC. Boot cover in good shape. Rear, plastic window clear and in good condition, as the pictures show. Ran great for fifteen years; not so good after my mechanic lost the engine and stuff.
All original except the paint job. Willys dealer in Tacoma was original owner thru 1980, and gave it a great (heavy-duty) fire-engine red paint job. Chip on rear bumper deck shows car was originally yellow. No evidence of there ever being side steps. Glass good. Chrome good.
“1948 Willys Jeepster VJ2 two door Phaeton convertible. Original yellow with black strips. This Jeepster has not been modernized in any way and retains that 1948 touring car look and feel. This is an extremely nice Jeepster, a real head turner and a “Thumbs Up” getter from other drivers! Just 19,000 Jeepsters were produced over 3 years. Original Hurricane L-134 flathead 4-cylinder engine (rebuilt in 1993) and a newly rebuilt 3 speed manual transmission with electric overdrive. New brake systems, new seat belts recently installed. The interior is in great shape with tan seats and black carpet. The top is in great condition and folds easily. All four side curtains are included and are in good shape. The body and frame are rust free.
$19,700.00 OBO

Roger had a chance to move vehicles for the 2014 Mecum Auction in Kissimmee, Florida, this weekend. He reported that a 1948 Jeepster went for $42,000 (blue one below) and a 1950 for $39,000 (red). Roiger says both were perfect, better then new.
Here’s pics of both. First the ’48 and then the ’50.
