Bantam Trailer Ad’s 1946
I ran across a few of these Bantam ads for the smaller Trailers.

They even look like they were making very large Trailers for Trucks and this was a cool Ad for those.

Bantam trailers played a critical role in Farm Jeep history, but not in the way you might think. Bantam built a number of specialty trailers for the Lustron Corporation, manufacturers of all-steel homes. It is another fascinating Bantam engineering story, ending in the same management failure. Lustron would never pay Bantam for the trailers, and that financial burden would eventually lead to Bantam’s financial collapse. By this time, Monroe Auto Equipment Company had taken control of Bantam, which was also managing the Newgren Company. Monroe would leave the Farm Jeep business to rid itself of the financial mess. It turned the lift sales over to Willys, and both Newgren and Bantam disappeared. Thanks for posting this. It reminded me that I need to write this story at farmjeep.com.
I just recently picked up one of the Bantam survivors. Data plate is missing and I have yet to find another stamp or number to confirm this little trailer. Pretty solid, but the floor needs to go. It’s just in the early stages of restoration. Picked it up for $400 bucks!
Very cool, Good Luck with the trailer, not a Bantam but I have an M-416 that was modified a bit years ago by the PO, it’s in line for some work, these small trailers are pretty useful and pull easy.
