2026 Memorial Day
As we celebrate Memorial Day please take some time to remember those who gave all and support their families and friends. Since the start Jeep/Willys/Ford had rigs all across the country celebrating in the early days. Here are a few shots of the early years some are not specifically Memorial Day but are around the same time of year.
1943- Stockton, CA

1943- San Francisco, CA

1943- Pomona, CA

This was in the Paper a few days after Memorial Day 1943 out of Spokane, WA
June 2nd 1943

Good stuff—nice compilation.
Thanks.
I took my Air Force painted M38A1 to the cemetery where my parents are buried. Local scouts put flags on the graves of veterans. plus it seems everyone else goes all out to put flowers out.
The Jeep has the markings of my father’s Troop Carrier Wing of 1955, when I was born and the Jeep was produced.
The cemetery staff, always there to help people find loved ones, reacted very positively to the Jeep.
I find the same always someone there to help, it can be overwhelming trying to find a plot, They have a good team around here that marks and puts the flags out as well. Memorial Day is a really special time of year, good to hear the Scouts are active a lot of good troops out there still.
