About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Willys jeep m38 hard top, original Willys overland part. Has windshield, 2 doors & back window. Driver’s side windows are cracked & rear window cracked. Windshield has original vacuum wiper motors. Overall in decent shape. I believe all original.”
(03/09/2012) There’s been lots of work done to this project, but still plenty of project left.
“1951 M-38 flat fender 95% completed project. This was never supposed to be a frame off restoration/rebuild; you all know how that goes. But there was nothing I touched that wasn’t bent broken or needing to be replaced. I have complete photo documentation, I can send as many as you would like, of is jeep being taken down to the bare frame and build it from the ground up. Everything has been fixed, replaced or upgraded. I will make a list but there is just so much replaced that is practically a new jeep. It is not stock and was never intended to be a stock M-38. I have over $20,000 in parts, and that is what I have in receipts, not counting the dollar outlay without receipts. Many, many hours have gone into this jeep in the last three years. I am 61 years old, bad knees, shoulder, back and I lost my build partner so I am on my own. My physical condition precludes me from finishing this project without paying a fabricator to finish it for me. It’s time to move on for me. Make me an honest offer and I will consider it.

“This is a project that I have never got around to. Solid jeep for someone looking to restore or for parts. Open to trades.
… And yes, those are co-op grip spur tires.”
“I am active duty USMC stationed in California. I purchased this jeep a few years ago to restore, but other priorities come first and I need to pass this jeep on to someone who will use it.
This is an original US Army M38 Willys jeep. The drive train is all there and the body is about 75%. I have never tried to start it but was told by the previous owner that it was running when parked. The original seats and small things like the frames and brackets for the canvas top are all missing. It has some non-original seats in it and looks like it was used as a hunting jeep at one time. No extras, no top or doors, bare bones, just what’s in the photos. I have the Tx title.
This is a good restoration project at a great price. I have restored two other jeeps and they were about in this condition when I got them, but were much more expensive.
Please contact me with an offer if interested. I am in California, but I want to sell and will actively monitor my email. I have folks in the area who will be available to show the jeep to buyers. Thanks!”
